Most Disappointing Careers In Hip Hop?

I found an old Tragedy Khadafi CD & it got me thinking about his overall career as an emcee (dude has 7 solo albums & a few group albums!).
I know he's been in & out of prison and that def hindered any sort of mainstream success, but even his underground albums haven't been that good. Which is surprising because that should be his strength.
Trag has been the vision, inspiration, involved in & been around a lot of good music, but for whatever reason he hasn't been able to translate that into quality material for himself.

Who do you think has been a first round bust? Who hasn't lived up to their potential?

Can't agree with tragedy. Still Reporting is a great album along with Permanently Scared and all the songs he did with CNN. LA,LA is an amazing track which was his idea and was directed by him, his verse on there is classic. He has also have couple tracks and some tapes that didnt got the love they were suppose to have, but he was behind almost every new QBC artist at that time...CNN n Mobb Deep for an exemple.

As a solo artist, his catalog is sub par.
He has seven albums. Seven.
You are talking about lose verses & songs.

as far as what we THOUGHT he as gonna turn out to be, jadakiss...

cant make a complete album to save his life.

doesn't have the depth to hold his own as a solo artist...

Method Man

Method Man is def a good one. Tical is good/great, not a masterpiece. After that, it's uneven albums trying to please everyone. I don't like those Blackout albums. I like Red, I like Meth. I just don't like them together. They don't bring out the raw, beast emcees in each other.
AZ hasn't lived up to his potential. Do or Die is a classic & then a bunch of spotty material after that. A couple of joints on the album & a bunch on filler.

Lloyd banks and juelz.

IDK if Juelz was the most disappointing but he had everything set up for him to be a huge rap star.

His second album was the worst released cd i have come across. I would say thats disappointing after being apart of a 'movements' and defjam backing. clockwork....whistle....put the kids to bed...PUT THEM TO BED!!!!

lol hes a bum

yeah i believe we didnt see AZ at his peak, the best verses were with the firm and do or die of course
