Hello, long time Niketalker. I never post that much, let alone my restorations. I complete my first ever sole swap. Pretty much the only thing I never attempted. For now, it will only be pics of the steps. When I'm not lazy I will write a "how to". Hopefully weed or something else inspires me not to be lazy and write it.

Two pairs of 1993 Aquas. Not swapped, one missing a midsole, the other straps. I complete the midsole swap and repaint (still need to add glitter and dull the paint) and "tennis ball" dye the suede.

Donors copped from eBay for $40 bucks. Original Plate cracked and disintegrated. Slight problem with OG sole fitting but **** it.

Removed the donor midsole with the boiling water technique (boiling water placed inside shoe. Microwave helped removing (15 seconds shoe completely wet so upper not damaged. ) Acetone removed the paint (be very careful as 100% Acetone will eat through the rubber kind of)

Re glue after paint job (took several tries and reduced number of coats. No primer because OGs have a very dull dyed paint job look)

Think if you gonna go OG. You gotta go all the way.

Not a fan of sole swaps. Just wear the new pair
But fun project I guess

Did you just look at the pics and comment? Doing that kinda makes you look stupid when you try and clown.
