Dominican Republic to be 'Socially Cleaned' in today

At the end of the day all that will happen is that the US, the EU, and a few others will "condemn" what is happening. But no boots will be put on the ground, no slapping of sanctions, no freezing of assets. I just hope black people will perhaps FINALLY get it that they dont want to share with us. invest in our own people!!!!
 
I doubt the US even condemns it. it's happening to black people, they don't care. Took months for somebody to speak about Boko Haram.

Very disturbed and disgusted by the ruling of the people of the Dominican Republic on our Haitin neighbors. Being the son of 2 Dominican immigrants I am ashamed of what they're planning on doing.

But please keep in mind there is a lot of us Dominicans that do not agree with the ruling and recognize our Africans decent as much as our Spanish and our native culture. According to my parents whom I spoke to about this, the way the government is presenting it to the citizens is by using the "financial burden" angle, that its had in the country. And DR being a poor country they are being golibble towards it.

But it's does not take away a from it being racist an unacceptable. Hope the global attention this is getting can stop it.

Saw that little documentary on page 1 everyone should watch its very interesting I learn a lot from the little Ik new about Haiti that fort a top the mountains was beautiful would love to visit

Is it the lighter Dominicans that's behind this? Like the ones that can kinda pass as white?

Trujillo really messed up the DR for generations.

Knew it was bad over there when I saw they were lynching Haitians

Yup during ww2 the Dominican Republic took in houndreds of thousand European Jewish refugees trying to escape the war. They gave them land (there own people were still poor), live stock and money (most barley had enough to eat). The plan was to mix them with the natives which were just as dark as the Haitians of today at the time. It worked.

Nah, even darkskin dominicans dont want nothing to do with hatians. But im talking about real dominicans, not the ones that got half their lives in the u.s. and barely speak the language
 
is despicable that DR is pulling this stunt man....I've gone to DR at least 2 times a year for the past 6 years, stayed in town with the inlaws and I can't comprehend how this would benefit the country at all, if it's one thing I know is Dominicans are LAZY....they like the idea of not working, kicking back with some presidente and leaching off each other...Hatians pull the hard labor jobs, they live there to make Dominicans feel like loyalty, build their houses for cheap, run errands, cook, clean...etc all jobs which the average Dominican simply won't do....wth are they thinking?...country's tourism is gonna come crashing, they are looking like the most racist place on earth, for a country that survives off its tourism this is by far the most illogical move EVER.
