Growing up in NYC and hanging out in the Heights nearly everyday, I've yet to met a Dominican that denies their African roots...I sure as hell hope NT is not basing their knowledge of Dominicans off Ninja.

Also the Dominicans I've met over my life will not deny their African roots, however they will label themselves Latino, because that's what they are above else...lol why every other Latin nation can identify as Latino and you guys trying to strip that away from Dominicans?...are black Colombians not Latino?...are white Cubans NOT Latino?...

Here is where it gets tricky, let a black Latino jump into the black culture thread and try and fully claim your culture, your struggle...I'm willing to bet my top dollar most black NTers will not take that lightly.

And NOONE has yet to answer the question I asked a few pages back, since we are not able to claim Latino, what is a person like myself, clearly not black, clearly not white, what I'm I supposed to identify as since Latino is forbidden?.

Bruh I'm not Dominican, but I love my Dominican people as if I was, the slander the past weeks coming from all angles, including American born Dominicans that were brainwashed by social media truly hurt my heart, felt exactly like homie in that video....so forgive me NT if I've been ODee in this thread, but I can't allow Dominicans to be misinterpreted....those of you guys who do understand Spanish, just watch that video and I can't see how you can possibly still view this as some racially driven exodus DR is performing on Haitians.
 
I think the saddest part is American born Dominicans recycling and reposting all the BS, I can't eem be mad at other people that don't have ties with the country, they just feeding off what our media spits, but these young American born Dominicans have parents and grandparents they can speak to, all it takes is one convo with someone with real life experience of the dynamics between Haiti and DR in the Dominican Republic to open up your eyes.

Nothing that wasn't already said in here really. Pointed out that the DR was the first to help haiti and the last to leave, pointed out that their infrastructure can't exactly handle all these illegal immigrants, pointed out that it's not their duty to help haitians but the haitian government's, pointed out that dominicans come in all shades of the rainbow so it's a bit hard to be racist when your own grandmother is black as coal even though you're not, pointed out that anecdotal "evidence" of racism in DR doesn't prove a universal truth about the state of race relations in the country and called the US and other countries out on their hypocritical BS. But dominicans are racist.
 
The line that resonated the most to me in that whole video was "no es racismo, es prejudismo" about the relationship between Dominicans and Haitians and I think that's what a lot of people are mixing up, is not about Dominicans being racist towards Haitians, is about them being prejudice....there is no denying Dominicans in DR are prejudice towards Haitians, but is not so much about their complexion.
 
Yeah apparently school tuition for Haitians in DR is free, even Dominicans gotta pay tuition.

Buuut...he was born in raised in DR before he came to the US and he's educated before he started doing vids fulltime. So he can speak on this topic since he's seen both sides of the coin unlike ninjahood b. Where's the biased ignorance in the video?
