What if this guy is the referee? Its not a minority "myth" is implying that some groups dont subscribe to da drum beat ofthis this this[thread="629164"]Donald Trump Is Running For President Vol He Must Be Stopped/4980_20#post_25552055[/thread]That's such a simple way to look at things. The situation is 100 times more complex than you make it out to be.Not to mention comparing a high school admission exam to shooting hoops and bagging women. That logic is not necessary with male/female relations and pickup basketball games. These admissions exams have HUGE implications on the lives of these students, and to not acknowledge the fact that some groups start in pole position and others are already behind when the race begins is intellectually dishonest.
Asians got language barriers and come dirt poor da same way alot of my Hispanic contemporaries do..why would i pull a race card when they flourishing and we're borh minorities?
I would go on and on about the difference between growing up discriminated against in this country, and coming over with an education and a clean slate, but why should I? It's obvious that groups perform differently. If the problem isn't the system, are we to believe that some groups are just genetically more prone to be successful? Or is it that certain groups 'focus on education' as was alluded to earlier in this thread.
Any other explanation you have comes off as ignorant and simplistic to me. I'm willing to be proven wrong, though. Explain to me what it is that generally makes Asians achieve more than Blacks and Hispanics in this country?
People who fall for the model minority myth still surprises me.
"We're minorities, so we're being discriminated against.. That's why we're not doing good"
Its literally da equivalent of a dude crying at da refs cuz he feels like da calls effing up his ball game game, meanwhile da dude of da other team playing under da same ref NOT complaining and just lettin understanding da flow of da game and flourishing.
In 2016, if u work hard & smart in da USA you gon' suceed.
Minority or not.
Hick Dominicans be comin thru w/ their family visas and in 2 years have a Bimmer, own a barbershop and have 2 dimes pregnant
Everyone wants to win, very few put on that work to do so.
It's never as cut and dry as you're making it out to be. You have yet to explain to me what makes Asian immigrants generally achieve more than Blacks and Hispanics in this country if the system is not the contributing factor.
