Anericans hate the media and with good reason. Wouldn't be shocked to see his numbers go up. Ramos was acting like a spoiled brat anyway and couldn't wait his turn like everyone else in the room
Trump's popularity boils down to the following (imo from what i hear)
1- can't be bought In the same way as other politicians (like bloomberg)
2- doesn't use newsspeak to the point of insanity. I mean people getting offended at "illegal immigrant" is hilarious to me. No no no, call them "undocumented workers". I mean come on. We have a disgusting amount of newsspeak and advocates pretending to be journalists. On this point i actually find him refreshing as hell.
3- some type of plan to deal with illegal immigration (to me it sounds half ******ed and you shouldn't be able to kick people out who were born here. But he has some type of plan to deal with it whoch i guess people like)
4- conservatives hate the elite republican candidates that have been pushed forward for a long time. And all politicians in general seem crooked or dumb. Not looking out for americans interests.
So while he says crazy stuff i understand why he has become popular with a certain part of the population

It won't happen though It's either him or Jeb for the GOP nod and Jeb just can't seem to let fate take it's course. People need to understand that the GOP and it's supporters hate just about anyone that doesn't look like them and/or has their same views on key issues like the economy, racial relations, religion, and politics.

A lot of legal Latino immigrants side with Trump on his immigration policy. They feel like they did it "the right way" so why should someone else get what they worked for (and likely spent lots of money on) for free?

Ironic when you think about the benefits they received from all the hard work Black people put in for equal rights. But that's not the topic at hand.
They should be encouraging them to become legal. Offer services, they are one of them after all.
