Donald Trump is running for president

Right-wing media is really trying to get Trump out of the paint.

Shook Ones Pt. II.

I said in a previous post that to a certain extent systematic racism exists.

The Seek program in NY is one. It gives full blown scholarships to high school kids who come from poor/ working class families that didn't necessarily do well in high school. This is a phenomenally successful program because it gives young minorities the opportunity to attend great colleges even though they wouldn't have qualified under a normal application process. All universities have programs like this that are geared towards black people and other minorities.

There are are also plenty of private companies that have outreach programs that try to recruit minorities fresh out of college for career opportunities.

Both of these programs exist as an attempt to level out the playing field.

Fam we are talking about federal programs that would be far reaching in leveling the playing field. While its good that NY has that program I can tell you that my own state does not have one & I don't know of many others that do.

Why are we even mentioning private companies & social programs in the same sentence?

I'm done here. Folks just have objections to things bc they'd benefit a certain demographic. They don't have legitimate reasons why the playing field should be rightfully leveled.

Literally will not accept an L. They asked this dude about his investors losing over $1B on his last bankruptcy filing, and he hit them with the Mase gif.

Pretty sure that plan was a summary of a reparations package I wrote about in a previous thread.

Where I specifically mention that the government shouldn't give black folk cash in hand for reparations but instead invest in programs that will allow them more social mobility.

But I am sure allowing black folk to educate themselves cheaply, start business, avoid the number one cause of economic ruin, allow more of them to participate in voting, help the working poor (btw the EIC thing is something in the Ryan budget too), and undo some of the harm done by the war on drugs, would teach them to be helpless.

All that can be done with proper financial planning and money management. The tools are already out there they just have to be properly utilized.

As far as a level playing field, that's a pipe dream. There will always be people born smarter, richer, and better equipped to flourish. Success will come easier for some and others will have to work twice as hard. It may not be fair but it's life, you gotta do what you gotta. And there's nothing wrong with that all.

I love how they tried to shame Ducatti Don on this as a sticking point in the debate.

Do most people know that no one has a gun to your head when you make an investment? Like he said, you should know the risks of investing in anything Don does (he has a history of bad investments), yet you still put money up. Now they're making it seem like all investments generate returns and no one ever takes an L?

I'm running out of reps to Rico Hood. The guy is a smart, young man that understands the world better than most. His kids will have a bright future in terms of common sense, intellligence and fortitude to hopefully get the riches we all desire. They'll be tooled up.

One that I personally deal with in my line of work is the ICAP program, which requires that a certain percentage of government funded work be subbed out to minority & women owned business.

There are other programs but many of them are similar. Either way it's clear that you're not trying hear any of that. You want every other race to go through a similar oppression that your ancestors once went through. You don't want equal opportunity. You want things to come in easy for you, so that you don't have to work hard for them. Fine. I get it. I told you already, I believe systematic racism exists to a certain extent. Just know that everyone who is not black doesn't get everything spoon fed to them. The struggle is real across the board for a lot of people man.

im not for trump, but it did seem like they were trying to sink him pretty hard in that debate. Like his questions were much different than the others questions, and he was the only one that got doubled down on lol.

Considering all the outlandish thing's he's said, calling him out on some of them on a national scale - amongst his republican rivals, is a good way to find out if this guy is for real or not.

i kinda wanted them to ask him more substantial questions i guess lol

like policies. but yea i see that.

I have a friend that used to help build sets for different TV shows in NYC.  He helped put together sets for a few episodes of The Apprentice.  According to him Donald Trump is a surprisingly cool guy.

Yup, and in the debate he proved he's not real. Literally his response to every question was "America is in HUGE trouble, we lose in everything and we need me to fix it" without giving a SINGLE specific way in which he would fix anything.

He brings the LULZ though so I enjoy it.

I've known people that met Trump too, they all said good things about him.

It is think once you put a mic in front of ole boy and you ask him about politics, he thinks he is an improv class, playing the role of an *** hole

Yeah.  Apparently he would walk around the set and introduce himself/commend everyone for doing a great job.

Funny story: my friend is a stoner, so he got high before he went in one day and was sitting alone in the corner of the break room listening to reggae and drawing on his sketch pad.  All of a sudden Donald Trump walked by, turned around, stuck his head in and said "UB40?  Good stuff, man.  Love reggae.  Long Beach Dub Allstars all the way."

it's funny how when he's violated and disrespected a mutual enemy of him and the gop such as Obama, it's ok and even encouraged and no one in the party or fox news checks him for crossing the line.

the minute he starts leading the polls and the gop realize that he's not some pawn they can use to say something brash when convenient for them who will blindly follow the company line, all of a sudden he's too offensive and bad for the party.

he's been saying outlandish stuff for years and the gop knew that. if that's how they felt, why accept him and welcome him in in the first place.   the minute his brashness wasn't beneficial to them anymore they started to dennounce him and view him as uncredible.

the polls say one thing and that's that he's leading them, but since he's not their guy, fox and the gop disregard the voter base and try to say that's not how it is.

safe to say he has the gop shook.
