Maybe none from South Carolina, but the young generation of libs/progressives is very supportive of Bernie.

As it stands today, he'll get my vote.

Bernie not winning the winning vote. Bernie got no chance

He is too much of an idealist for his own good

Even though I agree with him on many issues, that is a red flag for me.

Trump is just proving that our system is flawed. Have enough money and entertain and you have the attention of the majority of the country. He's destroying the candidates who are taking this very seriously

There's no politics needed, just give the people something to watch. He's essentially turned this into a run for class president

Our system is flawed because Trump is up? Or the electorate is just doing what it usually does, focusing on the wrong things. The American electorate is incredibly ill informed, apathetic, and incredibly partisan. So don't fault Mr. Trump for giving the people what they want.

Come election day, 48% of people will even bother voting and the rest if you will sit at your keyboards and complain about how the other guy should have won and looking for pics of Hillary Duff.

And Obama is a horrible President.

We get it. You're voting for za Clinton even though you agree with Bernie's politics more than Clinton's.

Not once did I say trump himself is the problem

It's the system established. It's dated, it's inefficient, it's overly complicated (yes sad but true I'd venture to say most of America doesn't get how it works or thinks it's too hard to go out and even participate in), it's too media driven, ..... I can go on but you get the point

It's not inefficient at all or complicated. You see the candidates, you hear what their vision for the country is, you pick one. If you sit back and just rely on pundits, polls, and soundbites then your doing it wrong and you only have yourself to blame for our "flawed" system.

Newsflash, it takes a bit of effort to keep abreast of the issues and to drive to your local polling place to cast your ballot. But hey, if that's too much for some people, then that's fine with me. I don't want to the ignorant to vote anyway.

Meh, you have your opinion, that's fine. We live in a world where we have better resources to submit votes now than going to your local ymca. The voting system is a joke. Everything comes down to a couple large states while the others vote for the same party no matter what. It being inefficient isn't even up for debate, it's a fact. We have more people voting for the next American idol than we do for president. All these citizens not even accounted for during the voting process. Yeah it's their fault but the numbers and the numbers and they'd rather keep the minority vote to a minimum

They'd rather keep everything the same so the outcome can be "uniform" to how it's been in the past.

You know why a couple states decide elections? Because all the other ones are steady red or blue, it's not a conspiracy, it's the electorate in that state. They vote the same way consistently. Sucks but they have themselves to blame for not diversifying their vote.

How is the systems fault that people would rather vote for America Idol than the American President? No one is forcing them, there's no gun to their head making them choose which to pay attention to. They're just idiots and like I said, I'm glad they don't vote. You shouldn't have to be spoon fed and coddled go perform your civic duty.

Who wants to keep the minority vote to a minimum? Minorities have had a historically low turn out in this modern post Voting Rights Act era. And it's not because theit votes are being suppressed because they came out in droves for Obama in 08 and '12. But sat out all the midterms and state wide elections. So there's no conspiracy they are simply choosing not to show up. So once again the system isn't flawed just people's priorities.

Not if Bernie Sanders has something to say, dude is KILLING it with young kids and has a strong following online

People complain because politicians only speak out fluff and what corporations tell them to say, but when Trump is speaking his mind(might not always be right) dudes get shook for him talking

Haha! Man please. Like I said, if Biden don't run, Hillary diddy bopping all the way to the white house.
The Bernie Sanders = Ron Paul is a great comparison. Never even thought about that.

  at mentioning the support of young people like that means something. Young people are probably the most apathetic voting bloc in this country. They don't show up on election day. If they did Ron Paul would be President.

Crying at "might not always be right" in regards to Trump. He's an abomination, and these Republican debate will reflect that. Never seen a clueless group like this since the 0-16 Lions.

Nah they showed up, they just voted for Obama when they did. Haha!

08 and '12 were anomalies as for as voting patterns go. But if you look at the midterms and state elections during those years young people did not show up.

Someone please aware me how Bernie Sanders = Ron Paul

Fringe candidates that will never win they're just on opposite sides of the spectrum. Paul is far right (Libertarian) Sanders is far left (Socialist)

The Republicans are passing legislation to curb minority and the poor from voting because of 08 and 12.

This isn't a conspiracy, it's a fact! Tell me do the States below traditionally red or blue?

Voter suppression measure threatened or passed in 2014

A bill --HB 91 -- has been introduced that would impose a stringent timeline on third parties seeking to register people to vote. If passed, the bill would require that people who handle voter registration materials to submit those materials to an elections authority within 72 hours. Those who fail to do so may be charged with a Class C Misdemeanor and barred from participating in community organizing activities for one year. 72 hours is a very stringent deadline, and makes it much more difficult to hold voter registration drives.

Arizona has implemented a dual registration system to prevent people who use the federal form from voting in state and local elections unless they show additional documentary proof of citizenship. Voter registration for thousands of Kansans is already being held in suspense" - essentially limbo - because of the new documentation requirements. Under the two-tiered system people who complied with all legal requirements for voter registration are denied the right to vote in state and local elections because of the registration form they used.

Hmm the shortening of the early voting bills does seem odd to me. I'll have to research what the stated benefit of that is. But the others seem pretty straight up to me. I don't see how requiring a valid photo government issued ID is suppressing the minority vote. If anything it targets illegal immigrants who shouldn't be voting anyway.

Funny in 2008 and 2012, more people show up and one side does better

2010 ans 2104, folk stay at home and another side does better

So if more people voted all the time, I wonder what would happen. Hmmmmm

-The system does need reform, I don't agree with the "More people vote for American Idol that President argument", I fine it kinda short sighted. But America needs election and campaign reform badly.

Undergoing gerrymandering and making voting a opt out system instead would do nothing but good.
