Nothing is guaranteed in the NBA anyways. So, saying LMA going to SAS automatically means championship is getting too far ahead. There is a reason why the games are played and OKC would probably be a NBA champion by now. Adding LMA will DEFINITELY increase their chances, but I really hate the "guarantees" because we've seen over the years that those rarely come out correctly.

Tony Parker is still going to be around for 4-5 years. The Spurs have stayed relevant for the past about 15 years. Just when you think they are going to give up some of their luster, they pick up guys like Manu. Or Leonard. LMA has to see that.

spurs are the best run organization in basketball. they'll figure out a way to give lma and kawhi a chance to win a ring.

I honestly don't see what Phoenix did over the last few seasons that would make LMA think they are the best fit  . I trust the Spurs with Parker, Green and Kawhi going forward the next 2-3 years before I trust whatever Phoenix got planned. There is also a good chance one of their younger guys may pan out (Kyle Anderson).

totally agree... in terms of winning now and the next 2/3 years SAS is the obvious choice.

he goes to PHX they got 1st round knockout written all over it.

Portland once again.

he's going to texas... makes too much sense.

Parker will be around in spirit but his body is in fall apart mode. He doesn't have 4-5 high level years left. Not without missing a ton of time IMO. Like Wade does in a sense. High level player just not for 82 games and playoffs.

Aldridge definitely doesn't guarantee SA a title, but he doesn't care that much about stuff outside of basketball, that's why he ain't rocking with LA. So, it comes down to basketball. Spurs are basically the best basketball franchise. Leonard alone compliments Aldridges game well on both ends. If LA joins the Suns, what are they? Basically a 4-5 seed at best? That's what basically Portland has been. Dude is 30, so can he really wait for the Suns to grow. One year of for sure elite contention with the Spurs and then trusting the organization to add pieces alongside you and Leonard as the older Spurs phase out >> Bledsoe + Knight + Chandler.

The only way I see this making sense for LMA is if the Suns promised him to go after a big name next summer as well. They should have some caproom next season as well and quality trade pieces in Bledsoe / Knight (whoever decide to roll with) and Morris to get a star.

Basically, Phoenix going to send Knight to Denver at the deadline for Gallinari after Denver trades Lawson, CP3 going to opt out next summer, Suns will send Bledsoe to the Clippers for CP3.

Paul

Gallinari
LMA
Chandler

CHAMPS

That would be ironic.

This off season hasnt been about making sense tho lol. If Aldridge goes to the Suns then it would just complete this odd off season lol

Can slomeone bring up the old Chandler and Deandre debates from last season? Because if memory serves me right Mavs fans seemed to prefer Chandler over Hyland.

This. All of this.

Maybe the hold up is San Antonio doesn't want to give him the full max.

This fool done already ate a 5 year max in free meals. If I'm San antone I'm offering him the vet min and if he doesn't like it he can shove a fork up his *** and rot on the lakers

just noticed that lavine's forehead is at rim level

prosper young wolves, prosper. I really hope that team can make some noise in the near future. they should really make a bid to move themselves into the eastern conference. geographically, it would make sense

That Central division would be brutal
Bron/kyrie/love
Rose/Butler/Noah
Wiggins/lavine/KAT
Bari/Giannis
Drummond
PG

Oh my...
