Cleveland Cavaliers — Kyrie Irving, PG, Duke: I'll go on record right here saying I don't like this pick. Irving is probably going to be a good point guard, but you don't draft somebody No. 1 because they'll be good. You draft them to seriously alter the franchise's fortunes, and Irving doesn't do that. You're taking somebody with conditioning issues and letting him learn from Baron Davis, not exactly ideal. Irving lacks elite athleticism or elite shooting, and who's he going to pass to on that roster? I don't want to bash him too much, because he's a quality player -- I'm just not sold on him going No. 1 overall. Derrick Williams should have been the pick here. -Eric Yearian

Minnesota Timberwolves — Derrick Williams, SF/PF, Arizona: The Timberwolves spent most of the day sending out strong signals that they were strongly considering Enes Kanter with this No. 2 pick, but GM David Kahn continued his strategy of "asset collection" by taking Derrick Williams. Williams is arguably the most talented player in this draft, as his inside-outside game will prove to be a match-up nightmare. However, with Michael Beasley and Anthony Randolph already on the roster (not to mention Kevin Love), don't be surprised to see a trade. Williams is efficient, explosive, and gifted. He's one of the few prospects in this draft with All-Star potential. -Nick Prevenas
How was Kyrie not an elite shooter when he shot 46% from deep at Duke? These guys get paid to give these opinions. Unreal

Sometimes hindsight is 20/20 but you can learn from guys like Derrick Williams. He's a monster dunker off two feet but he's not explosive, he didn't take one pull up jumper in Arizona and can't jump off one foot at all. Dunking and muscles isn't all it takes to be basketball athletic. Still a nice low risk pickup for NY.

Knicks FA gets a C, didn't do anything outrageous

it's what they didn't do that impresses me. they didn't give Demarre Carrol $60M, didn't give Greg Monroe the max, & didn't just give out money to make the fans happy.

very happy with what Phil's done this sunmer even tho he didn't sign a big name. the roster as it is now is somewhere around 36-40 wins imo.

Phil did a great job building a foundation still has some exceptions and cash to play with. Build the team up and try to add someone better next year.

I agree. And, TBH, I didn't even think the Zinger pick was that bad. Phil is making the best of what he has to work with.

Knicks vs Lakers in the 2017 Finals

Knicks in 6, Kris wins MVP with averages of 18-7-3 & is the only person to shut down Julius Randle :smokin :smokin

So idk if it's been posted in here but Embiid was measured at the doctor at 7'2. He also has zero pain in his foot. The news that came out about it is just because it didn't look fully healed in the x-rays the way that the Sixers doctors and management wanted it to be.

Got my mobile synched to my truck bumpin.....

psst psst Kristaps....Proziiingis
