Draymond fake tough tho.

SJax called him fake tough, so it must be true  . Barnes at least got some street cred because he and TA are real close. None of it matters anyways because Draymond's fake tough guy act helped GSW win a champiionship  . Skillset > real toughness

I honestly don't see nothing wrong with what Reggie got. He played really well during the last 2 months of the season after adjusting to being in DET. Averaged 18 / 9 /5 and a big guard. He needs some grooming, but I like him better as a building block than Bledsoe because Reggie can actually take over a game at times.

Players taking paycuts is not about the owners at all. Its about the team being able to add more competent players.

One thing I cannot stand about fans...

They ALWAYS want players to take paycuts.

I'm not the biggest Kobe fan by any stretch... But anyone saying he shouldn't have signed the deal that they OFFERED is a moron.

We always want athletes with 15 year careers MAX to take less... So billionaires can save money?

Lolwut
I'm mad the Lakers gave him that money. Not mad he took it though

These dudes need to get all they can.

Can't you add whoever you want though? You just have to pay the luxury tax right? If Gilbert is willing to pay 104 million over (getting Joe for example) then it becomes a battle of what owners are willing to spend and who aren't.

If that's the case (correct me if I'm wrong) then its directly about the owners. Not on the players at all.

Cavs would be adding JJ with salary on their roster already.

So you can't just add whoever you want, you have to either match salary in trades or have cap space to sign people.

you and I never agree until now. Agree ...

LoL

Dude is salty, so salty he mad someone repped you. LMAO
when salt levels raise based on reps, you need to reevaluate some things.

The mention of who repped who was an answer to Vincent VH question about who repped me, but when you are wrong you generally back pedal or change the narrative.

Kind of how you started out arguing that Reggie gambled on whether someone would actually pay him more...
When you realized it was a fair mount, or how others felt you switched and argued that he gambled that he'd actually make it to the next signing healthy, not that he'd make more

I'm not mad at players getting money but i can care less if dudes make 220 million in there careers instead of 260 million. I just like I don't care if a billionaire makes extra.

Most owners aren't going to pass the savings on to the fans and the players aren't going to give back any of the millions so I just don't care.

You cant add whoever you want though. To keep it simple you can only go over the cap to retain your own guys. So the Cavs spending all this money to keep Love, Thompson, Bron, Smith etc etc is ok. Joe Johnson would be acquired via trading and matching up salaries.

Talking about millionaire athletes, I just cannot imagine getting six figure checks on the 1st and 15th

Different sport, but here's Andrew McCutchen's paystub

Bingo.

As your contracts creep up, you have to luxury taxes though.

So if I sign 3 players at 15m...

And by the end, they're all at 20M and we're over the cap, that's when you start to part luxury taxes....

I think that's how it works.

Correct me if I'm wrong, though
