I honestly hated that "built not bought" nonsense. I asked people if they'd turn down Bron or KD wanting to go to the Spurs via free agency and they were like, nah, that's not how the Spurs win

They will be a good regular season team. They're gonna miss monta but don't really need a great pg the way carlisle gets down. Parsons with a bigger role should be more effective

The funny thing about saying "built not bought" is if it simply means getting a free agent then every team has been bought. Rodman not being drafted by Chicago means they bought him in some form or another. It doesn't make sense.

I don't see how the Spurs are old is a narrative.
Parker, Manu, Duncan. Those are 3 role players. Diaw and West.
Kawhi and LMA are young enough. Green is young. Mills and Anderson are young.
Their only old players won't be averaging more than 30 mpg.

dude just won a defensive player of the year and outplayed the best player in the world in the finals the year before. just cause the guy plays on an actual team and doesnt shoot 20+ times a game doesnt mean hes underacheiving

This. He's a quiet beast Lots of people overlook him. Spurs have a good balance of young and old farts. But their old farts still have a certain sklliset that they have perfected and don't deviate from.
