Players use the Knicks like the NFL uses Los Angeles to get new stadiums. Use NY to set the market for what they want, get the $$ elsewhere

Meanwhile all the speculation that's built about X Player being interested in the Knicks turns out to be just talk. NY, you've been used

It's been years. Don't give me a crap about small market thing.

This is old news. Knick fans have been aware of this since 2013

I don't blame for doing this as much as the agents. They're the ones that use this tactic.

RCK I feel like we, as fans, were the ugly pre-pubescent couple and I got hot and now I'm leaving you behind.

I think this may be the first time I've ever said this, but I'm looking forward to seeing the Pacers next year. The PG-Monta combo should be nice.

Antonio Davis says if he's LMA looking at Knicks- "don't want to lose on the biggest stage."

I'm convinced this is the driving force behind big name FA's not wanting to play for the Knicks or Lakers.

Salary cap goes up significantly in a 2-3 years as well. That's why a lot of these guys are taking shorter deals, so they can look good on a good team and then get a HUGE pay day when the cap goes up.

Take a look at Shumpert's situation for example. If he played for any other team besides Cleveland, a lot of his weaknesses would've been exposed and magnified. But playing next to Lebron masks a lot of those weakness and augments strengths. This is why he got the deal he got and took the term length for 3 years.

As this **** calculated mother *******. This is chess, not checkers!

The driving force behind people not wanting to play for those teams is cause that's players don't see futures for those teams, especially immediate futures. Knicks and Lakers have all this money and off-court opportunities, but nothing basketball related, especially winning. Melo is clearly fine with getting paid and losing at his age. LMA clearly doesn't want big money and L's. If he did, he wouldn't stayed in Portland, or went to LA. No one is afraid to play under the bright lights of a washed Kobe in LA or a demotivated Melo. It would be silly to hitch your hopes to either of those

Lakers.

They are officially the worst team in the NBA. Yes, the Kings are better than them by a horse hair.
Told yall what would happen when RCK became a Lakers fan.

Off the board...

Free agent forward Ed Davis is finalizing a deal with the Portland Trail Blazers, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.

Despite the Davis deal, Portland still has the ability to re-sign free agents LaMarcus Aldridge and Robin Lopez. I

Portland will be much worse if/when LMA leaves, but I like what they are doing around that.

Off the court opportunities are overrated anyway. Guys with huge endorsement deals are in small markets now. Lillard, Russ, KD, I'm sure Wiggins will get his, AD, etc. The endorsements and everything is there as long as they see star power.
