This is the key. Lakers still using the Byron Scott "back when I played" way of doing things.
Getting D'Angelo is a start, they need to go all in with current way to play ball. Get off their old way of doin things.

@ dudes think we're hurt over not getting Aldridge.If you go to the Laker thread, you'd see many of us (ahem, like me) have said Aldridge won't be a difference maker for us so it's not a big deal.
Trust me, the fans seeking "headlines" might be hurt, the ones seeking a long term successful franchise ain't trippin over not getting Aldridge for max money.
