What expiring contracts did the Thunder have to move in order to improve their team?

DJ and novak..

waiters is a restricted free agent at the end of season

OKC is my pick next year assuming everyone stays healthy.

Would enjoy a KD/Bron rematch. Would also enjoy Bron leaving us alone in June.

We can talk about IF's when it comes to the Warriors (and I'm one of their biggest critics  ). The whole point is that they made additional moves to go out and improve their squad. They didn't just say "oh we got Curry, Thompson and Draymond. we can be cheap and still get by"

They didn't even initially have money to sign Iguodala, but they shipped out their expirings to get him in a S&T.

Having Steph's ankles be mush in his first few years and signing him for 4/40 helped big time. Do they even have Iggy without that? Unlikely.

They've had a roster equipped to compete for a title the past few years and have been stifled by injuries each year. I really don't know what you and JPZ want people to say.

Missed the playoffs with an MVP candidate*
missed the playoffs because they lost the season series with the pelicans.. basically this shot:

I can count the games missed by Durant, westbrook and ibaka.. if you would like

Missed the playoffs with an MVP candidate*
Without the MVP or Serge Ibaka*.  But hey, since they had the exact amount of wins as the team that made the 8th seed without 2 of their 3 main players that must mean they have a terrible supporting case.  Apparently having a healthy KD all season gets you negative wins.

I find it interesting that as much as we make fun of Lebron for walking to the Finals in the East we bash certain teams in the West for never making it out. The reality of the West is that it's a gauntlet and a team like the Clippers or Thunder may never make it out. But they are still very very good teams that will give anyone a run for their money. Game 7's are likely. It takes a toll on any West team to make it to the Finals. For all we know the Thunder/Clippers will make it out and the Warriors don't make it for another 4 years. The Spurs big 3 might never win again. Who knows. The seeding is also chaotic and plays a big role. Like it did for the Warriors this year. Tough on the Spurs. Clippers are seen as a joke but just beat the defending champs.

Plus they started off horrendously to begin the season. Which caused Durant to come back to quickly and re-injuring himself.

Put that into perspective.  The Thunder had 45 wins this season without 2 of their 3 star players.  You take AD off the Pelicans and they are a 15 win team.  You take KD and Serge off the Thunder and you miss the playoffs because of a tie breaker, but hey, that's a sign of terrible management.

and don't forget guys throughout the roster missing time.. most importantly westbrook, who broke his hand a couple mins into the 2nd game of the year

Perry Jones and Lamb both had plenty of opportunities to prove themselves in OKC, and if you ask me they did just that.
They were never real consistent or "killing it" but I blame Coaching and rotations more than lack of skill or aggression.

I know for a fact Lamb is balling out this year, I don't know how much time PJ will see TBH but I like to think BStevens will give him a fair shake.

Lamb is going to kill it this year though.

Now you fools are just spinning it into something that its not.

Why didn't they make it to the finals in 2013? 2014? Oh yeah...because they made no improvements to their 2012 roster.

Quit your jabbering.

Here's a hint to Cuban and co.;

Just because you got lucky with Brandan Wright doesn't mean his GSW cohort is going to give you the same thing. Avoid this dude at all costs. Midas well go after Ryan Hollins.
