and since people are conveniently remembering things,

DURING THE DRAFT people thought presti reached when he drafted westbrook and harden where he did and over certain players..

also where are those "thunder should trade westbrook for rondo" people

Oh, Presti did something cool in 2008 and 2009?

Nice that was 7 and 8 years ago. He's still making believers off of that? Raise your expectations to something less sad brah.

Why people keep ignoring what they've done OUTSIDE OF THE DRAFT? Every time someone comes in here speaking about how OKC has failed to put the right talent around their stars they have drafted, people come right back in here and talk about WHO THEY DRAFTED.

NO ONE IS SAYING THEY CANNOT DRAFT.

goodness
Because small market teams typically have to build through the draft........

Name me a list of players that were banging at the door to sign with OKC when they had cap room and they missed out on them?

How can you laugh when your squad is in the same predicament as them?

I'm sorry, did David West just go to the Spurs for nothing? And I believe the biggest FA of this offseason signed there too.

If you have the foundation, people will gravitate toward you. Doesn't matter where you are.

And I'd say Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook are more than just a foundation.

What am I laughing at ? I'm not laughing at their team, I'm laughing at people like you trying to argue against what some of us are saying. I'm giving them a ton of credit for what they did years ago in the draft. That's not the issue. If you have 2 superstars, you better be able to bring in talent either through trade, if not free agency. Stop making that excuse.

NO ONE GONNA SAY NOTHING ABOUT DAT BLEDSOE FOR FAB MELO TRADE THO :nerd:

just playin, they still cold in the draft department. i just wanted to rustle some jimmies

EXACTLY .. dudes grasping for straws and not even spewing factual information at this point :smh:

alright, so the Thunder's FO is #1 in the league but the reason why they can't trade for talent or attract free agents is because of their market size?

I never said they were #1 but to say they're just as laughable as Boston is outright ridiculous.

What have they done differently? The difference is Boston didn't draft two elite talent in the top 5 in two consecutive drafts. Other than that, neither team has made Free Agency acquisitions and neither team has made a big trade.

Actually, if anything, the Celtics trade overshadows any trade the Thunder have ever done. At least they got something from it.

traded for Thabo.. perkins had a role early (and could have continued to have a role, but again brooks)

brooks just overused both guys.. signed morrow for cheap.. turned reggie into guys who give the team depth this year

cant compare the spurs and okc. okc cant stay healthy and have never won anything . well the spurs are the most consistent team with a hand full of rings  over the past 15 years.  spurs have the best fo also. not just good at drafting.

i dont understand what the issue is with the thunder. thats one of the best teams in the league if durant, ibaka and westbrook are healthy.

Check this out....

2007 - Durant
2008 - Westbrook / Ibaka
2009 - Harden

Its 2015 now. What other talent did they put around their core group of guys to make them a dynasty?

Ok...theoretically, they have their core in place. Now, what do they do after that to make their roster GREAT? Granted, their team was already great due to the fact had 3 superstar talents and an elite defensive big.

They probably weren't even going to fire Brooks if it wasn't for this injury riddled season. If they stay healthy and possibly make the WCF and lose...Brooks will be right back in that damn chair next season.

Obviously the Spurs are the exception.  Do you see players knocking down the doors to go to Philadelphia, Milwaukee, Memphis, Denver, Detroit, Utah, Atlanta, Charlotte, or Phoenix????????

OMGAWDORZ Milwaukee signed a free agent everyone.  The market is shifting to small market teams.

Exactly! Since 2009 they've done NOTHING to improve.

Milwaukee signed Monroe, a bigger free agent than any the Thunder have signed

agreed. saying the market is shifting to small market teams by using the spurs as an example is silly.
