DJ mustve really hated the Clippers towards the end to turn down that money...
Wants to be the first or second option, tired of being third option

He doesnt have the offensive game to be a first or second option even on the Mavs. Who gon throw him alley oops over there? The corpse of Devin Harris?

Dj is getting heavily overrated on here. I wanted him back, yes. But he's not going to be the difference between us being a 3 seed and missing the playoffs. Don't let the stats fool you guys.
#NTextremes

Nobody in here has them missing the playoffs

Kostawould actually be a better option for them than Hibbert. He played in an uptempo offense in Denver and started on that squad for a full season. He may not be the athlete DJ is, but he's a better fit than slow *** Roy

Let's be honest, he's not going to have the offense run through him in Dallas, either...

But here's the perception... Tyson Chandler is REVERED in Dallas because he's the best center we've ever had... DJ is gonna be a God here in about 5 minutes. He's gonna be held up here by Mavs fans and the franchise as a Cornerstone. Not a piece to the puzzle like he was in LA.

CP3 had no bearing with the decision.

It came down to Dan Fegan/Parsons/Cuban and Doc Rivers. Politics man

who do you think is chirping in DJ's ear about being the man? His agent. Parsons and DJ share the same agent. Cuban gave Parsons that ridiculous contract last year. Fegan in return gets DJ to Cuban.

Its really that simple

I'm gonna need you guys to stop with the DJ Libel. Let that man be a number on option. Dirk's washed, Wes has Kobe's achilles, Parsons doesn't care about basketball. Why not run the offense through Hyland?

Weird to assume CP3 had nothing to do with it.

There were a lot of rumblings mid-season about the Clippers. No one really thought it'd lead to DJ leaving but stuff was there. CP3 clashing with DJ about his FT shooting. CP3 generally being an annoying leader who was constantly barking - clashing with Blake/DJ. CP3 wanting to slow it down and run his methodical offense. Blake/DJ wanting to run. Blake and DJ clashed on the court most likely because spacing got tight. I'm sure they struggled sharing PNR duties. DJ probably wanted more. They both never really anchored a really good defensive team - so there were issues there too.

There was stuff there. If Dallas presented him with a bigger role, players who really wanted him there, showed him how Tyson Chandler flourished on both ends of the floor under Carlisle (even with Devin Harris and Jameer Nelson at PGs) - it's not surprising he went with a new situation.

I put the Clippers as a 7th or 8th seed.

Lose Blazers, add Thunder into the playoffs.

Warriors
Rockets
Spurs (could flip flop if LMA is a Spur)
Thunder
Mavs
Grizzles
Clippers
Pelicans (this could flip flop depending who is the center all season for the Clippers)
