It's hard to put KD at #2 until we at least see him next season. Sure he was #2 before the injury, but I think some guys played their way into at least consideration for #2.

This has crossed my mind more than a few times. It's something to think about. There was an expected drop-off with Love leaving and his 26p and 13r averages going with him. There was little Rubio and K.Martin, Pekovic missed 51 games, Thaddeus-Mo-C.Brew were all traded away in deadline deals. But it's definitely something to think about.

But there's, you know, I think Durant won 20 games give or take his first two seasons (he's a first overall pick if defined as transforming which is how we're talking about it I suppose)

Wall missed like 10 games or something his rookie year but they won somewhere around 20 too I believe. Thought it might be intresting to check AD
because I couldn't remember how bad or just average the Pels were his rookie year. 27.

Those are still different than 16 though I know. Every team goes through injuries but when you add the drop off, in the present tense, from Kevin Love, the team's best player in 2013-14 to a rookie, albeit the No. 1 pick, there's not a whole ton you can do. We'll see. 2016-17 is huge for Wiggins and 2017-18 is huge for Towns. Year 3s.

Good post. That's why I said usually. You'll have 3 #1 overall draft picks on the roster next year. 1st time in NBA history. If this doesn't work out for the wolves the should consider moving the team IMO.

27 games isn't nothing to brag about. Big men with foot problems is a very bad thing.

I'm not using 27 games to justify why KD is still the second best player. There is way more evidence to prove that.

I'm just stating what he did on a bad foot in 27 games....98% of the league couldn't do at their absolute best.

You can't be the best anything if you're not playing. That's the point. Hopefully he recovers but them foot problems a killer for most NBA big men.

I'll take AD for the time being until KD proves me wrong. I'm wishing him the best because I want to see all of the star players healthy and at their best next season.

Keeping it all the way 100 with you guys. Curry deserves the 1 spot based off a MVP season and Finals win. I'm a huge KD supporter but Curry, Harden and Russ surpassed him based off performance until I see him healthy again.

I think LeBron is the best but wouldn't be mad if someone said Curry.

Yea, but that wasn't good enough to be the 2nd best player  . Not saying he's not the 2nd best next season, but I'll wait to see him first.

I still don't get this line of thinking. "I'll wait until it's proven, then I'll state the obvious". Take a chance my man, go out on a limb

Dre is savage for this

LaVine was analytically one of the worst point guards in the NBA last year. The talent is there for him to be really good, hopefully he take the next step. Still so young.
