Also were 5th worst in the playoffs with Dwight and Jones.

Around the Mavs and Blazers.

They were the worst defensive team in the playoffs 2 years ago.

Not buying it.

I guess that is what happens when you play against the clippers and the Warriors with Jason Terry guarding the other teams best player but the point is they were miles better last year defensively than the year before when healthy Some of it was just more effort

He accused CP of leaving out info, then left out info himself

Why were yall so bad with Bev and Dwight the year before then?

Is Lawson supposed to make your defense better?

He was one of the worst in the league last year and is now your starting PG.

Spurs have been "old" for five years now.
What does that tell you about their age......but dudes will just say, "but people have been calling them old for years"

Yea, they are were old then too, is why.
Now it's just 5 years later, or 500+ games later.

First round upset isn't an upset if Spurs lose, it's expected to me, I didn't say 4/4 times they will lose 1st round to throw shade. It's just what it is

I tried to wear my black and silver VC shox and the sole fell off.
That happened to me when I wore some old LeBron 2s   Aqua 8s to play ball in. I was sad.
was just shooting around. not even really hooping

don't see the Spurs making the WCF either. not sure how lamarcus is gonna fit in that offense. doesn't seem like an extra pass type of dude to me. i thought kawhi was gonna step up offensively but LA's 18 footers isn't gonna let that happen.

Pat Beverley confused like a mf right now. Dudes shouldn't consider team friendly deals until they've made 75 mill.

I told y'all Sam Dekker was a good pick up for Houston at #18 during the draft and they would address their PG situation via trade in the offseason :smokin

Would've been nice if they could've brought J-Smoove back but they're still in the mix to come out the West.

There's like 5 teams that are contenders and at this point it's uneducated guessing trying to figure out which teams are the best of that group

2 years ago, yes. Those things happened.

Since then Harden has improved, added Lawson, Ariza, DMo has improved, Beverley may be healthier (with Lawson around) and Corey Brewer.

Green setting a Finals record for 3's didn't really help him much last year. Nor did LMA shredding Houston help vs the Grizz.

Bottom line. After an 8 month season, they'd have to beat 4 of these teams to win it all, GSW, OKC, LAC, Houston, Memphis and Clev.

4 of them. All younger, faster, and extra gear possible. I'll take my chances on the field with those odds.

Man stop it, Houston's defense hasn't gotten any better, it's actually been worse. Yea Harden is better, players in their 20's improve. LMA is also better, so is Kawhi, so is Green and honestly, so is Duncan.

You taking small sample sizes in the playoffs and I'm showing you that they aren't indicative at all.

Danny Green struggled last year in the playoffs but he was the second best spot up shooter behind Korver the entire year.

LMA's Portland team was washed with a revolving door for a PG and missing their 3rd best player, great example.

Not like he's coming off the best year of his career or anything.

If the Spurs are healthy, they're going to be just as good as any of those teams no matter how old they are.

I got OKC winning it all but it wouldn't surprise me if the Spurs do either.

We been saying they are too old for years but let's not act like Pop isn't the best at managing a season in the entire league, that mitigates the age issue quite a bit.

That "younger faster" **** is cute, but we've all seen it fold against the Spurs when they are at 100%. If Parker is healthy in the playoffs, this convo is a lot different.

Pop "managed" minutes in 2015, 2013, 2012, 2011, 2010, 2009, 2008.......

And in 2014 he lucked into Ibaka bein hurt, and the Heat gassed in their 4th straight Finals.

So...........

 at Dunc bein better now.

Like I said, they'll win 55+ off their depth and experience. Then when they get to the playoffs, and other teams can study them for 2 weeks straight, the extra gear the younger teams have will kick in, and the Spurs won't be able to match it.

And they only need to have Duncan, Ginobili, Parker, West, and Diaw stay healthy, for months 9-10 of a long season.

While also hoping LMA/Kawhi stay 100% and Green doesn't wet the bed like last year.

That's all. Surely all of that will happen for them.

GSW
OKC
LAC
Clev
Hou
SA
Memphis

In that order, for me on 7/20.

The year before? When Lin and Parsons were here?

Lawson is worse than Lin defensively though, he your next scapegoat?

Scapegoat? Can you just say you don't like the Rockets? Idk if Lawson is actually a worse defender than him (doubt it), but even if he is, his offense and general bball ability helps way more than hurts. You didn't watch Lin here if he think he's a scapegoat. As far as the past year, turnovers + having to play a combined 74 years of age for your PGs is what leads to bad defense. Hope that answers everything.

I'm not comparing Duncan to his peak, I'm talking about over the last 5 years, he's playing his best ball right now.

They were still trash defensively in the playoffs with Brewer and Ariza, so what's your point?

They got a alcoholic pg who doesn't play defense, is that supposed to make them better?
