In Utah he used to be able to go by you with that hesitation. So you had to react to it, then he'd just cross over & now you look silly.

Even now he has nights where he feels good. If I remember correctly in that particular game against the Clippers, he had blown by Chris a few times. So he was setting him up for the cross

Basically this. If you have a decent first step you really don't even need to use it that often. Just a quick jab step and a solid plant with the front leg will get em leaning
