DJ just signed a 100 Million dollar contract. Would be foolish to drop him now, as you alluded to.

Fagan did a lot of damage control. And being that DJ is so weak minded, he fell for it.

I mean seriously, Fagan wasn't even allowed to step into DJ's home during that hostage takeover. And a rep from his agency was arguing with Doc practically minutes before DJ signed. Fagan should have dropped him. DJ will probably have someone else rep him at that agency, eventually.

He finally fired him, huh? Austin had no choice.

Doc and Fagan HATE each other (more hate coming from Doc - Fagan has been kissing Doc's *** for a long time but gets no love - reason one why he went hard at trying to get DJ to leave for his homie Cuban). But actually, a lot of agents hate Doc. Its why Doc will never be a good GM. The moves that happened this past month kind of fell into his lap. If it wasn't for DJ coming back, Doc would have been out in a year or less.

the Lakers are the best franchise in all of sports. We are going to be drawn to big names every year whether you like it or not. It's just the amount of success that we have had for YEARS that has earned us that reputation.

 
again, every team has a losing cycle.  You have to be ridiculous to think that no team does.  We have youth and 60 million dollars of cap space next season, we will be fine.  Its not like were the Knicks.  We actually have a direction.
