poor lillard is doomed unless he is traded to a better team in the future. portland will suck for years now unless they take the no1 pick and there is another anthony davis available in the draft.

He's right though - he won't make it because he's not a Conley/CP3 type who can orchestrate an offense. Plus there's an unnecessary rick of possibly getting hurt. At the same time, this is a phenomenal chance to get better and you already have your contract with little pressure to win in Portland this year.

I don't think two practices and a scrimmage is going to make a player that much better
Participating in the entire process, from camp to games is a whole different story. Guys have improved immensely from being selected
But going there for 2 days to practice only to be cut after the scrimmage isn't going to make you a better player by much

Its moreso the way he responded to the question coupled with past behaviour. Its one thing to not want to go cause you know you wont make it, but we all know in his case its that plus hes whining. He just whines and complains too much.

Ahhhhh I don't know they both kinda coming from the same pass of being a nobody to playing in the league. Still feel Gilbert is a few steps ahead of him in the overall picture

There is a WIDE gap between the 2 offensively. WIDE.
If Dame's 3 ball is off, he has nothing. Gil used to get to the free throw line 10 times a game.

Uh, he's had 54%, 57% and 56% TS in his first three years
Now that he's going to get ALL the shots, I don't see what's impossible about seeing him go to around 24-25 PPG this year
