Damn Delly outplayed Derrick Rose & Stephen Curry at points during the Cavs playoff run & he only got 1 yr, 1.2 mil

He was the 2nd biggest reason they won game 6 in CHI & games 2 & 3 vs. GSW.

JR still unsigned after being the best 3 point shooter in the league outside of Golden State, after his trade to CLE.

Gilbert getting stingy now. Still hasn't thrown the 80 mil at TT.
naw hes just knows hes going to be in luxury tax hell for a few years while not even winning a chip.

its like lebron left you and had twins with a jumpoff ,  then comes back and now hes is suffering from infertility.

Is Gil still getting paid?

Dude finessed the L and was unguardable in his prime, always will have respect for him.

I wanted to go to OC Fair the past weekend :frown:
Could have witnessed Hibachi dropping buckets :smh:

I went the previous weekend. No NBAers were spotted.

But having been there, I can tell you that the fair still made money off of Gil regardless of how many prizes he won. You have to pay every time you play one of those games and its like $3 for each shot. Compare that to the value of those stuffed toys, which are probably worth pennies. So, even if Gil shot 100 percent, he still paid a bunch to get all that stuff. But what does he care, he's still has millions from the NBA and hasn't played a game in years.

Gil couldn't even make it past halfcourt with the way Bledsoe was dogging him that playoff series.

one of the most overrated players of all time. gilbert arenas. made like 3 all star games , had like a good 4 to 5 years. never won anything.  his teams barely had .500 records. was never an elite player.  never a top 10 player.

i agree gil was overrated and that 100 mil contract he got after injury was absolutely insane. 60 point game is nice but when crackhead corey and mo gotti can drop 50 it puts it in perspective

i was listening to dave mcmenamin podcast and he talked about publishing his blog, before social media was an actual thing. he was basically a chill guy who took nothing seriously.

Who has him overrated though? Most just say he was dope and fun to watch with limitless range. Ive never heard of any ranking talk surrounding his name. Hell..once 20 yr bron whispered in his ear and his misssed his free throws, gil could never be a great. But he was good enough to pull 120 at some point. Joe johnson type with less longevity.

think the only person rating gil that high was gil himself
fun and entertaining nonetheless

still remember a game where glove was trash talking to him non-stop when he was a rookie and still had them braces and fro. gil didnt even know how to respond to gp

 have Corey & Mo ever averaged even 20 ppg?

The year he dropped 60, only Kobe & Melo averaged more points than him. Gil wasn't some role player who just got hot  he was a prolific scorer

Year before that, only Bron Kobe & Iverson scored more.

He had a VERY good 2 year stretch where he was a top 5 scorer in the league.

If you average 25, 29, & 28 for 3 straight years, you're getting a $100 mil contract fam. There was nothing insane about that deal.

still not a top 10 player at that time. all those points didnt add up to wins. not saying he was just a role player. very overrated player whose stats didnt add up to wins and had a very short window and as we know stats aint everything.. never made an all nba first team, wasnt in top mvp voting.

look at the year he was injured . his team finished with a nearly identical record.

Can someone tell me why OKC is being hailed to make and even win the NBA chip. Im looking at the line-up and not seeing the greatness besides the obvious 2.

Especially compared to there adversaries.

Because they've made an NBA Finals and two conference finals, and that's regardless of the supporting cast around Durant and Westbrook. And, the only reason they didn't make it that far in two of the last three seasons is because of injuries to either Durant or Westbrook.

yall are funny man, still gonna say that was a good contract?

he played in 31 playoff games in his ENTIRE career
after signing $111M contract he didn't play for almost an entire year
he averaged 24 games PER SEASON for the next 5 years after that contract

alright man i guess you really watched basketball at that time

You don't give contracts with hindsight in mind.

Pretty sure no one knew what was going to happen to Gil as far as his games played after he signed his deal.
