America's team should be the one whose leader bought his formerly crack addicted and absentee mother a church while forgiving her, not the so called leader who sued his mother over leftover memorabilia.

I can't admire a dude who does something like that.

LeBron James is the best player in the NBA, and then has a mom who does questionable crap at times as well, but he still remains a somewhat affable guy that people want to play with, in Cleveland no less, for some strange reason.

Steven A Smith stated that people do not want to come to NYC to play with Carmelo Anthony today, suggesting his supposed selfishness, or lack of wins. Yet at the same time he mentioned on another First Take broadcast, disagreeing with Nelly, who was right, that the other guy in Los Angeles isn't to blame for players not wanting to be in LA.  Which one is it Steven? He also said that his new favorite show is POWER, which means the kiss of death for the show in my estimation. His taste in clothing, flaky intellect, loud disposition, might be a hint about someone who is always late to the party.

Tim Duncan needs a celebration for his consistent and quiet greatness on court.

Jason Kidd will be recognized as one of the best coaches in the NBA next season.

Pressure will force Phil Jackson to fire Derrick Fisher next season.

Hubie brown does his job worse than any other employed person in the world. I still watch his games and sit through his elementary explanations for 2.5 hours.


The games do look way better. I'll agree with that. I usually watch the home broadcast and record the tnt/espn broadcast to skim through when there's nothing else on. Just to hear the Millerisms.

If you're a fan of a team on the rise or a team that will be fighting for a playoff spot.. it's cool to see your team get the spotlight for once. The Jazz, for example, aren't really talked about on ESPN or TNT a lot other than Gobert. So for their fans, it's probably cool to see their team on national television three times so they can get some attention.

As for the elite teams? Maybe it's just bragging rights to be on TV that much, or it's still cool to have your team get discussed by the Inside the NBA crew or get that Sunday ABC spotlight.

And then you have fans, like myself, who don't live in their team's home market or who don't buy League Pass. So really the only time I get to see the Knicks are when they play on ABC/ESPN/TNT or when they play the Magic.

i don't. i live in the Kings tv market so i get all the games anyway. But i do want to see competitive/exciting games on TNT and ESPN nights.  The Lakers do not provide this.
