Man, people forget that Ehlo balled out that game. 24 points off the bench, and that layup that put the Cavs up with only a few seconds left. Sucks that all people remember is him being on the receiving end of that shot.

If you're a fan of a team on the rise or a team that will be fighting for a playoff spot.. it's cool to see your team get the spotlight for once. The Jazz, for example, aren't really talked about on ESPN or TNT a lot other than Gobert. So for their fans, it's probably cool to see their team on national television three times so they can get some attention.

As for the elite teams? Maybe it's just bragging rights to be on TV that much, or it's still cool to have your team get discussed by the Inside the NBA crew or get that Sunday ABC spotlight.

And then you have fans, like myself, who don't live in their team's home market or who don't buy League Pass. So really the only time I get to see the Knicks are when they play on ABC/ESPN/TNT or when they play the Magic.
My sentiments exactly

I love Kobe, but people are really trying to defend Lakers having so many national TV games?

Nobody is defending this. They are telling you why the nba puts the lakers on so much.

Ratings

Regardless of how many dudes in this thread hate the lakers all the nba cares about is ratings.

Its not hard to understand why you dont see the usual terrible teams with 19 national televised games

Lakers = huge worldwide fanbase = ratings

Because Bob Fitzgerald is one of the worst home announcers. Though yes above Reggie Miller

Reggie miller, sean elliot, stu lantz, tommy h, stacey king, mike rice, and the bucks and cavs color commentator are the absolute worst color commentators in the league

And dont be hating on chris webber. That man is one of the most knowledgeable former players of all time.

And how come reggie miller always sounds like hes slobbering when hes talking?

Webber is knowledgeable, but needs to polish his skills in articulating his points in a timely manner. He tries to fit all these syllables in short breaths.

I don't see why folks don't like Reggie by now. Same as last year when folks were calling for changes on Inside the NBA. I want to be entertained. I don't want no dry basketball breakdown. Hubie is great but if every broadcaster was Hubie or Inside was 4 Hubies then I'm not watching.

Y'all don't wanna see Kobe's reactions while the Lakers get washed? The Lakers are one of the few teams who can lose terribly and entertain you

The only worse national tv color guy than Reggie is Jon Barry.

Grant Hill was worse last year. Maybe because he was a rookie but still. Reggie is good in a awkward way. Remember the gold last year "what do they mean, you suck" "suck what". Ha ha ha

Unless Marv is in on the action with his being able to conduct how the color will be done, the volume gets turned down, and music will be playing along with the game.

If Adidas is smart and then allows Kanye to design Harden's new shoes, they may push Jordan's to the rear for the first time since the flu game.

I do not know if Adidas is that smart though. The head of Under Armour called them dumb, and he may be right. Steph Curry's shoe is the best out there right now in any estimation, and kids are eating them up.

I believe that Hubie Brown in both the broadcasters, and the NBA Hall of Fame for his work behind the mic. That says enough for me about how good he is.

LeBron looks happy, nice hair. Both he and Jamie Foxx have me confused at times. How do you do that?

I didn't know that the Knicks had both Robin Lopez AND Aaron Afflalo. If they have a decent 4 and a reliable 1, they may be watchable outside of that stupid triangle.

Sesame shrimp and Grits this morning.

I want year round locker room access of that team, mic'ed and uncensored.

my mans in the yellow did all that screaming then got to MJ and froze up.

then got shoved to the back.

bruh Jordam was so pumped but he had to calm down for that interview. i def understand why Sherman went off about Crabtree.

I got the Wizards 7-3 through our first 10 games. Yo Heat fans what you looking like through the first 10? It's us and y'all for the SE division this year. I think ATL takes a step back record wise.

This is the guy with the power to do that.

I agree with Scott and Hibbert destroying any shot at them being a solid team.

Kobe, DRuss, Clark and Randle are key. They can over compensate for Scott's incompetence.
Hibbert be big that's all get offensive boards. I feel Bass and Williams will bring great depth.
There is a good mix of youth and vets ready to win.
