“@DragonflyJonez: Shaq and Divac take on roles with the Kings and now Boogie is getting shopped to the Lakers. Stay woke.”

Just an excuse to post (1 of the rare times I've found shaq funny):

Why aren't the Magic in talks? Vuvecic and other assets for DMC sounds plausible

Because they don't have the #2 pick and I'm pretty sure Kings or any other team would rather have Okafor instead of Vuvecic to replace Boogie.

They could have easily kept both if Clay Bennett was willing to pay the Tax, that outweighs the impact that Serge Ibaka had on the trade.

On if they could-couldn't debate: the lux tax parameters changed after-the-fact I believe, and only that change is what made it work. Lowe or somebody else went into how there was definitely reason to anticipate that that change coming however, so that's where the disconnect is.

but to say that Kevin Martin and Jeremy lamb had ANY determining weight to the deal is false.

That was the best package at the time

Kings weren't a true 28 win team of that makes sense.

They were hooping until Boogie went down and then they lost like 12 in a row, or however many games he missed, in a row.

Then they hit Malone in the head and well, it was a wrap after that.

But long story short, comparing Love and Boogie seems reasonable but there is only one thing wrong here, you say people don't think Love is as good as he once was or was thought to be but, he was a 3rd option, so people can think what they want but it's not true, Love is still the goods. Top PF for sure. Boogie will never be a third option anywhere.

Saying he's slightly overrated is worse than my worse drunk text.
28 wins is 28 wins man.

Especially when its like our 50th consecutive season winning in the 20s.

Yea, it is.
I actually hesitated even putting that in the post because it was really irrelavent and would only give people a chance to say "28 wins is 28 wins" blah blah blah, as opposed to focusing on the point and that was...Demarcus Cosuins stats weren't empty, which seemed to be what wavy crocket was implying

Where is kj when you need him.. Dude saved the team from leaving.. He gotta be able to work his magic again

“@samlaker: @DragonflyJonez Boogie avg.of 24 and 12 at age of 24. Only 16 total in the NBA have done that. The other 15 are in the HOF.”

“@DragonflyJonez: Coaches are chefs. Gotta put all the ingredients together. Karl came to a kitchen w/a lobster tail on the table. And threw it in the trash”

These numbers are tricky. Kevin Love averaged 26 & 13 at age 23. He wasn't 24 so the numbers are selective as hell lol.

as a adamant defender of all things Demarcus Cousins...... I wouldn't completely dispel the notion that his stats were empty, mainly because of the monster numbers he posted in losses....

But his stats definitely do tell the story of how the team performed despite the injuries/lack of talent/turmoil/etc

Kings can just fire George Karl tomorrow and make a good pick at #6 and this story just goes away
I think I mentioned this earlier, but how would you guys and the public media view this?

Would this blowback on Demarcus and the Kings at all?

Are any of the excuses they could possibly use be acceptable?? (Wasn't Vlade's hire, Karl's failing health)

His Stats aren't empty. Kevin Love's stats weren't empty. I at the time had Love rated correctly as the 2nd or 3rd best PF in the game. I STILL think he's a top 3 or 4 PF.

Point is, at some point...your production has to start turning into wins. 6 years in the league...if you're THAT good...you will at least be able to win half of your games.

DMC hasn't even cracked 30 wins. It's his 6th year in the league...

Kings ownership & GM Divac & Randive seriously have to consider it though.

I mean it's a BAD situation with a young all star. Where everyone just wants to move on.

Seriously if they pass on a deal for this years #2 pick and maybe Clarkson and maybe the Lakers #27 & #34 picks while getting rid of Carl Laundry's contract.

They won't get a better offer from the Celtics this year. Or at the trade deadline this season or next summer.

And they'll still will be dealing with the un happy head case in Boogie.

All this is so true.
Sometimes the truth hurts.
It's going to hurt now or later.

At least now you are guaranteed some goodies in return. It's not an all out terrible deal for the Kings but you just can't trade a guy like Boogie.
I mean you can but you're going to get scolded on it by everyone.
Kings got some nuts if they do this deal man, some part of me respects that, I think

Anytime you fire a coach 3 months in there's gonna be blowback cause you're admitting you made a multi million dollar mistake.

Plus Karl WILL be vindictive and slander yall in the media. But you got to look at for your fans. That's who buys the jerseys, comes to the games when you're only winning 28 games. And if Twitter/NT is any indication yall will pick Boogie over Karl 8 days a week.

How many coaches has Boogie gotten fired already there in Sacramento: Paul Westphal, Mike Malone the coach who helped kind of straighten him out was fired because of Randive.

to be fair, Kings fans were pretty much begging for the George Karl hire

ASTERISK OUR LIVES!!!

@CP1708  where were you to talk us down from that?!?!?!

Malone took a new job so they don't have to pay him anymore....

Word? Thought it's like offset to some degree when coaches get fired and then get a new gig, and not totally off the hook. Regardless, they're not firing Karl. Too much pride and ego at this point.

If you KD and a chinese team offers you 50mill a year for 5yrs, do do it?

kd wouldn't. son turned down 250 mil and stock options from Under Armor to stay with garbage pan nikes that broke his feets.

Stock options b. meaning...Steph Curry balls. Wins championship. Kicks flourish. Value of UA goes up...KD gets a 6% cut. BRUH...6%. Meaning...Steph earns the dough...KD GETS THE DOUGH..on some pimp steeze. And...you say no...cuz...since a kid you wanted to be with the Swoosh? foh string bean. you calling phil knight daddy.

I believe Nike had the right to match the offer
