Chris Broussard is reporting that tho....

you sure you want to run with that?
High-ranking Kings source said George Karl not going anywhere, not even discussed. Divac in particular livid about the flood of speculation

Kings source: No plan to fire George Karl - absolutely no discussion on that. Vivek Ranadve has given complete authority to Vlade Divac

At this point, I'd think it would be more likely that George Karl resign, before getting fired by Kings. And don't see that likely either

If it's Chris then nvm Lol Freakin' Bleacher Report.

But what if Chris is getting it from Woj ???

to be fair, someone from the local Sac newspaper reported the same thing.... but then 2 other local media members reported something opposite

Karl got fired for continually underachieving. Granted, those were tough Western Conferences, but he made it out of the first round once in nine seasons. The last straw was losing to Golden State with home court advantage.
Fair enough. What Denver had at that time, was a pretty damn good roster.

Yeah.

Felt like we hit a ceiling with GK in '09. 2010 was Denver's best chance to make another run. But he got Cancer right when we were 2 games back from #1 seed after the all start break. Adrian Dantley is the worst coach I've ever seen btw. Blame losing to Utah on him and Chauncey billups missing two free throws.

Either way...we Shouldn't have lost to GS in 2013..but that wasn't surprising given we shouldn't have been a 57 win team anyway. So in that sense, he overachieved with that bunch.

Cousins is leaving in 2-3 years. Might as well get rid of him now and recoup something.

Don't you hate those? lol

Who would ever thought the Kings would be the first to having an ugly off-season.

I honestly do hope Cousins do get out of Sactown, sorry I know you're a King's fan lol

eh, from an outsiders POV I understand and accept that.

As a Kings fan, with that many years Cousins has left on his deal, I feel we still have at least another stab at this to make it work and win....

If we start winning and making that playoffs towards the end of that deal, the notion of Cousins needing  to leave Sac vanishes.

Manu will, Duncan will take a cut but will not need to take a huge one....Splitter will be traded asap....Green is already walking! LA will be a Spur

They're at 33 mil right now. Kawhi's max will start at 15 mil puts them at 48, Cap is at 67. Manu and Duncan would damb near have to play for free to get LMA. I doubt teams are lining up to get Splitter and facilitate handing LMA to SA, but who knows.

Spurs will be in a time crunch to deal Splitter b/c if Kawhi signs an offer sheet elsewhere they only have 3 days to match and if Splitter isn't dealt, they end up losing him and their grand plan is moot.

Agreed with that. Instead of trying to trade cousins, they should instead, trade to compliment Cousins.

would be at 60 million with

devin harris/raymond felton
???
parsons
LMA / Dirk
tyson chandler
They're trying to trade Felton's contract... but the roster would look pretty futile with LMA and Tyson signed

In all seriousness, LMA is going to San An, Houston, or the Lakers (I think he sees the potential in teaming up with Cousins if he gets traded, why they went higher on his list)

Felton is only 3 million. Still leaves the roster in bad shape to bring back Tyson and sign LMA. Another reason why Houston is a viable landing spot if LMA wants to win.

If LMA ends up with Spurs thats going to be a scary team
This isn't happening IMO they don't have enough space and Splitter's contract will end up being the biggest hick up even if it were plausible. Then you have to factor in Timmy and Manu's deals that would have to be dirt cheap. Just don't see it.

I think he ends up a Laker.
