Steph 'only' played 32.7 mins per.. And Klay (31.9) and draymond (31.5) were the only guys over 30 per





Hopefully we use our depth to overwhelm teams.. Between guys playing fresh because of limited mins or simply having better players on the floor for the full 48 mins

I think they have the squad to do it. Atlanta and GS also did this and both won at least 60 games.

That's not what I said. What I said is, the sample size of him playing with Ibaka was not enough to determine everything. Utah has been an awful team and Gobert is just now developing. I personally believe that OKC can mask his defensive struggles, just not when they don't have other defenders on the floor

Utah has only had one truly down year. Otherwise they have been competitive.

From what we've seen of collison isn't he the perfect guy to be a 5th big.. Doesn't complain about his role.. Can backup both big spots

Takes fouls when needed.. Does what the team needs

And considering what other guys have gotten this offseason, is 4 mill for the next 2 seasons really that much?

As I've always advocated when we have signed older players, they should be getting limited mins in the regular season since they know who and what they are.. Let the young guys spread their wings and let's see how they do and if the fail well you have the safety net behind them

There was no need to play fisher 20 plus mins or whatever Scotty was giving him when you have Reggie Jackson on the team

But I say all that to say, I don't see why that deal would affect Mitch THAT much.. I don't see him getting more than the 16 mins he got per under Scotty who was overly dependent on vets

I honestly have no idea where he could go in the West, and clearly help a team out where there isn't already a PG that is either proven, or trying to revamp their game.

Jrue (Pelicans), Deron (Mavs), TP (Spurs), Conley (Grizz), Beverly (Rockets), Russell (Lakers), Rondo (Kings), Bledsoe (Suns), CP3 (Clips), Steph (Dubs), Rubio (Wolves), Jazz (Exum/Burke), Russ (OKC), Dame (Blazers).

Only team I can see taking a shot on him are the Wolves (due to their uncertainty with Rubio).

There are three teams in particular I can see targeting him in the East though. Knicks, Philly, or Brooklyn. Maybe even the Pacers if they've grown tired of George Hill.

The San Antonio Spurs have once again put themselves in position to win a championship with a tremendous offseason. In fact, Steve Kerr feels that the Spurs have improved so much this summer that Gregg Popovich should quit if he can’t win it all next year.

“You look at what San Antonio did getting (LaMarcus) Aldridge … I mean if they don’t win the whole thing next year it’s clearly the coach’s fault,” Kerr said during the broadcast of an NBA Summer League game over the weekend. “I mean, if Pop can’t win the whole thing with that roster then he has no business coaching in this league.”

Kerr was, of course, joking. The Golden State Warriors coach played for Popovich for several years and was part of two Spurs championship teams in 1999 and 2003. Kerr and Pop love taking friendly swipes at one another.

The part that Kerr was not kidding about is how much San Antonio has improved. The Spurs signed the top prize on the free agent market in Aldridge, and both Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili are returning on team-friendly deals. The Spurs should be right in the thick of things in a loaded Western Conference.

If you remember, Popovich was partially responsible for Kerr landing his job as Warriors coach. Now, Pop will try to cement his legacy by dethroning one of his former players.

Told you guys a couple days ago that my friend (biggest trailblazer fan ever) was getting flown down to Dallas to hang and have dinner with Lamarcus Aldridge as a thank you for her effort in trying to keep him in Portland. It went down yesterday. He flew her down, from Portland, and put her up in the Hilton Dallas. Then last night, her, LMA and his assistant went to dinner. A mexican spot, and they just ate tacos and drank margarita's all night. She loved the place, but he apologized for it, he just said since he's been in town he hasn't been able to go anywhere and actually enjoy it without people going crazy and he's extremely private and not fond of big crowds. She said even last night, they eventually had to move where they were sitting because there was a booth of people right next to them snapping mad pix and on the phone calling their friends to come down and a bunch more people walked in. She said she had the time of her life. Mind you, LMA is her favorite player of all time, like ever. So like, how we feel about Kobe and Bron, he's her idol. He also brought mad gifts and took hella pix and whatnot. She said the conversation got really deep and candid and that they literally talked about everything, (his family, his hopes, dreams,he asked about her and her life, he talked about how he feels about pop and duncan, what really went into his decision about leaving portland, I guess he got really real on that part and said some things about dame :nerd: but made her promise not to repeat it, she wouldn't even tell me, said she would take it to her deathbed lol.) She really had the time of her life it sounds. She told me all about it last night, hella excited, voice was high af like a dog whistle lol. And no, he didnt piitb. no p in the v or d in the m either lol. Dude sounds like a good genuine type guy. Just real lowkey and into his fam. She flew back home this morning.

I can't even begin to describe my gratitude for the evening I just had. Dream come true, y'all.
