You already know that, son grew up poor and you can just tell he got that hunger in him that will never leave.

I hope more of these high school/college kids look at the money being thrown around and get even hungrier to improve. Is this not incentive enough? You;ll always have the knuckleheads who think they are already good and dont have much to improve on, thinking a 15 year career is guaranteed.

I know plenty of people I graduated with playing overseas and making good money. It's not bad at all if you don't mind leaving your comfort zone.

i heard stories from both sides and not only are some of them are making good money, they are living a great life. they have their rent paid, chauffeurs or a car to use, etc. then you heard of the stories of dude playing in third world countries, their pay is late, their housing situation is horrible, they are home sick, their bodies aren't used to the food over there, etc.

Bynum got washed early from carrying Kobe to the championship.

edit: was just wondering how much Bynum made. With all this money being thrown around, I'd be trying to make a comeback.

yeah totes it depends on the country. people i know are in europe and japan. it's not an easy transition but at the same time, it could be really awesome for the amenities like you mentioned if you're in the right spot.

Should be 200M+ if he had any brains and work ethic

for sure. When you look at it like that, huge disappointment.

He's a clown too. I bet he burned through a ton of that money. I use to see him around town acting like new money. Convertible, music blasting, solo, looking around like does anyone see me?

Those injuries and a bad attitude ruined/shortened Bynum's career.

$74M is no joke though. After taxes, lawyer, agent and accounting fees, expenses and other miscellaneous items--I'm sure he has about $30 Million if he never let his money grow and wasn't stupid.

Wouldn't be surprised if he has around $10-20 MM left though.

Didnt Josh Childress play for a fat deal in EUrope? Is he still playing overseas? I remember seeing a clip of him blasting on a dude in a game, swinging for the fences. Anger like he had bad debt.

damn, i think you're being generous with that $20M. I'm going to say way less. He didnt strike me as the smartest person. And you know he thought he would be playing for a long time.

I have a feeling life came up real fast on him.

Yes! That same 350Z! I use to laugh, be so unimpressed by him. I think he had that parking in handicap spot incident in Culver City.

He could've had a longer career if he never had that bad reputation during the end.

I remember reading he spent a lot of his money on cars and frivolous items. It's crazy to imagine how fast the money dries up.

Bynum career def could have been much longer I agree yes he had knee issues as a teenager, but he still could have managed to get by and earn millions he chose not too.
