@esefko Current plan, per so.urces, is to have DeAndre Jordan in Dallas to sign contract late tonight/early morning. Then he's heading on vacation

thot lulz.

all my clipper fan friends were straight sh****** on DeAndre talkin bout good riddance and dont have to deal with hack-a-jordan no more, actin like scorned exes. I hope he returns to the Clips just to see the 360 lulz from Clipper fans.

what did you expect? "Oh, i really wish DJ the best. Hope he absolutely dominates and hurts us everytime we play him."

http://thelawdictionary.org/article/is-a-verbal-agreement-legally-binding/

"Verbal agreements and oral contracts are generally valid and legally binding as long as they are reasonable, equitable, conscionable and made in good faith."

"The reason oral contracts and verbal agreements are often looked warily upon is that they tend to present difficulties when it comes to enforcement. "

"When oral contracts are taken to court, there is always a risk of one of the parties lying about the terms of the agreement. In some cases, all parties may choose to be dishonest about the terms of the contract and thus create a legal impasse for the courts."
All this is technically true of contracts generally, but here you also have the complicating factor of league rules and the CBA. Those rules dictate that FA contracts can't be signed until a certain date and could potentially override the general legal principle that oral contracts can be binding. In other words, per league rules, no FA contract is binding until the moratorium is lifted.

Plus, with service contracts, even if binding, when they're breached the remedy isn't to force the person to do what they signed up for (or, "specific performance" in legal terms) -- that looks too much like forced servitude, which the law frowns upon. Rather, its the payment of damages. So, bottom line, from a legal standpoint, even if DJ's verbal commitment to Dallas can be considered a binding contract, there's no way he can be forced to play for the Mavs if he really doesn't want to.

To really sum it up with a very technical legal term, this is just a ****** up situation all the way around.
Thank you sir

will drink red wine with my boys and think about you lawdog

Not eem that. Just be honest.

Your opinion on a player shouldnt be night and day just bc he leaves your team. If Hack-a-Jordan isnt an issue in your eyes, it shouldnt become an issue once he leaves right?

This is so hilarious. If this thot really comes back to the guy that hurt his feelings I'm gonna have to get my Finally Famous on and dig some quotes up.

Let the record show I've said nothing but positive things about DJ since he chose Dallas. All my Laker friends were talking so much censor about how we lost the best Center in the league. I would love to see how he goes back to being overrated and weak if he changes his mind.

i remember some idiot on here telling me agents don't have any pull. specifically speaking about why houston let parsons out of his deal early and why dwight came to houston. the agent then? Dan Fegan. Deandre Jordan's agent? Dan Fegan.

Austin Rivers is represented by Dan as well

@erupt107th  is definitely a top 3 Clippers fan

I think it just now hit Doc that he'll be playing Javale McGee next year.

Doc Rivers: OK... so we need to sign a big man. What's Robin Lopez up to?
Lawrence Frank: Signed by the Knicks.
Doc Rivers: Hmm, all right. What about his brother?
Lawrence Frank: Staying with the Nets.
Doc Rivers: Well then. What about Tyson Chandler? He's old and we can get him for cheap?
Lawrence Frank: Nope... signed with the Suns.
Doc Rivers: Asik? Biyombo? Koufos?
Lawrence Frank: All signed.
Doc Rivers:

All the cp3 treating him like crap rumors....what if deandre reps are the ones who put it out there to make it look justified he left?
