still #MFFL mark cuban do all of mavs nation a favor let ol boy roll dont be like the clippers(snakes in the grass) its gonna be tough next 5 years losing dirk soon and not having a heir to take over but  in words of kendrick we gon b alright

DJ is not a worthy heir to Dirk's throne.

I'd rather not be good and rebuild....than win 40 games and still miss out on the playoffs with an emotional delusional Center that can't hit free throws as your best player.

Rather than being smart and calm through this, Cuban will panic and go throw crazy money at a couple of guys. Guaranteed...

He'll go scorched Earth and say **** everyone.

I hope Hyland is a man of his word. Zero respect for a man that goes back on his word. LAC is dirty for this. Had their pitch and chance. Now everyone is killing them so Chris Paul ready to be a teammate and friend now? **** out of here.

Are you not paying attention? LAC didn't reach out to DJ, he reached out to them fam.

DJ is an emotional dude. He loves attention. Same maturity questions from college are still here today.

Clips might be better off not overpaying him, and trying to cash in on the KD sweepstakes next year, or fill the roster out with other free agents once the cap spikes next year.

They'll be fine either way.

Clips can get Kd even with DJ.

Correct me if I'm wrong

I know this is a Clippers fan saying this, and I understand the Mavs fans being upset at the Clippers, but I do think its pretty significant that DJ made the first moves in all this as far as potentially changing his mind. I mean really, if he call Doc and says he having second thoughts, you really think Doc should say "too bad, you're dead to me now. Move on."?

I respect DJ for reconsidering. A lot of guys would have took the money and demanded a trade during the deadline or next offseason. If your heart isn't there, don't force it to be.

All the reasonable guys on here know that Law, but you know people will try and **** on the clippers any chance they get. Comes with the territory ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

League rules, though, are clear: teams and players can not enter into oral agreements during the moratorium. They can only discuss terms.

So in regards to the idea that this is setting a bad precedent and the Mavs have become a victim to an unwritten rule, this tweet is saying the Mavs were playing kinda shady to begin with?

Shady job for a shady owner

nah we need to chill on moves just do a "76ers" type season the next couple years we cant build through draft until 2017 so we dont have any trade chips at all a bunch of sign and trades not helping us next season free agency is not that good after KD gets signed nobodys gonna come to dallas like we are now oh well im content now that deadra jordan can go on and sign with clips only thing sucks we couldve at least fill out roster with better players smh thanks deadra jordan

What's being missed here is that DJ is the one that felt he was making a mistake and reached out to Doc, not the other way around.

Terrance Jones did a similar F Boy move minutes after committing to Washington. Had the ceremony and everything. Called Cal immediately after crying like a baby saying he made a mistake lol.

UW could've had Terrance Jones, Wroten, CJ Wilcox and Terrance Ross. Sheesh.

don't make your choice if you arent sure too

Regardless of all of this... The moratorium is ******ed... If you're going to open free agency on the 1st, open it.

Best day of NBA free agency ever

And this is what Cuban gets for being a lil asterisk about "basketball reasons".

DJ is a asterisk too if he goes back.

Buncha losers all around.

He's only 27 years old.

This is a big life decision. There's nothing wrong with having a change of heart.

I agree with this too.

I'm all about keeping your word. But if you're making a major decision that you realize isn't best for you, by all means...feel free to have a change of heart.

Nothing worse than regretting something you had the ability to change.
