saying what exactly?

that we got better, upgraded at C, and would compete for possible home court in the 1st round?

and what about that would have been untrue.... lemme know

Oh, so now we playing for home court advantage instead of rings during Dirk's final years?

only parades being planned this entire off-season thread was the one in SA after LA got acquired ....

so not even sure what all your exaggerations are about

show me posts and i'll say my bad ... but until then you're making **** up

I guess Cuban not going to keep his word then  . It'll be in their best interest IMO. COMPETE during Dirk's last year once he pick up that player option. You have another shot at free agency with even more money. They could even clear more cap by moving Wes Matthews for expirings if he's not playing as well.
Mavs should've went after GG, Monroe, Wes Mathews and get back Larkin. Instead the fools put all theirs eggs in Deandre Jordans basket. Dudes never looked like a leader to me much less one that can be your franchise players.

why were they fools for going after the best defensive center in the game?

putting all their eggs in one basket doesn't make sense in this scenario ..... they didn't gamble on anything.  he was the target, the target agreed, THEN they decided not to go after anyone else.... why should they have. the search was supposed to be over.

He's really not the best defensive center in the game. Elite rebounder and good at getting blocks from the weak side, but as far as overall rim protection and on ball defense go, he's actually pretty average. Gobert, Marc Gasol, Ibaka are all better overall defenders than DJ.

wes made out in this whole ordeal :nerd:

did brousasard ever post his "sauwces" and get his 100k?

mavs turning into the lakers/knicks swinging and missing on big time FAs

wow, thats a terrible contract.

Desperate measures. I hope he just came from shooting around. Or do people typically show up to sign contracts with their arm sleeves on?

Congrats to Wes indeed. I remember them Utah days and thinking this kid has a shot to make it on a team.

Welp, I'll be back to the thread once he's banned again.

Thread already trash within hours of his arrival. What a surprise.

But @Antidope constantly wants him "freed."

Happy now anti? Thread goes downhill instantly but hey, your boy is free.
How is he any worse than your boy seaman? Ban both or let them both in here.

ELE
what? no. seaman is great. funny and knows his stuff. all you humorless nerds should probably go to another forum

Coming off an Achilles' tear. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think I can remember a player who came back from that injury and was the same as before it happened. Wes was younger when he had his injury than Kobe or Billups, so maybe that will help. Still, the odds are against him being the same player he was. To be clear though, I hope he defies the odds.

Interesting read on NBA players who have had that injury.

What purposes?
The nba cap floor and ceiling. The same way a team will get penalized for spending beyond the cap amount is the same way a team will get penalized for spending below a certain percentage of the cap. So I figured the Mavs were in that area so they decided to throw more money at him.

worst injury you could really have as a ball player. Better off tearing your ACL instead.

Not worst than what happened to Livingston though. I can't believe that kid is able to walk.
