I have no idea what direction the Nets are going and if they even have any type of plan moving forward...why would you invest your future in signing with them? Lopez and Thad just guaranteed we won't be hearing a peep about them for the next few years unless they get traded.

The Knicks have made signing a big man (possibly Detroit’s Greg Monroe) a priority in free agency this summer. However, they will still have an issue to work out in their backcourt—they would like to be rid of Jose Calderon, and will give Langston Galloway, one of the few bright spots on the team last year, a chance to earn more playing time going forward.
One potential answer for their guard woes: Rockets free agent Patrick Beverley. A source told Sporting News at the opening of free agency that the Knicks have “major interest” in Beverley, and that the interest is mutual. The Knicks contacted Beverley shortly after free agency began.
Beverley has been courted by the Mavericks, who are looking to bolster their point-guard spot, and the Rockets remain hopeful of keeping him.
