Not sure how anyone could defend giving up on a lottery pick for nothing after a year where he went through 3 coaches. Worse part is that they were deciding between Payton and Nik - chose wrong, gave up on him to clear room for the older, declining, cancerous version of Payton

Delusions of Grandeur: When the team you root for signs a sub par or below par player, suddenly making him a star

And I thought the deals free agents got last summer were ridiculous. These dudes getting wayyyy more than theyre worth today
I feel bad for anyone that retired more than 3 years ago.

I wouldn't even begin to know which teams to rank 1-8.
Too many teams still being formed

So PHX getting Roy Hibbert was deemed crazy, but paying Tyson Chandler got no objections?

Knicks signed Afflalo 2 years 16 mill. Second year player option

Not bad Phil!! Not bad.....Great Price, hopefully he will be re energized in the Garden because his D suffered but he was not in the best situations last season either!

Very good grab for NY. Need G Moe now or Robin.

I'm still on board with the Sixers. That Kings deal is one of those things that proves this strats value. They got the world at the expense of some cap space they weren't going to use anyways. Assets, Stauskas who they can just play and see how good he is then trade him, and picks and sacrificed NOTHING.

Sam Hinkie looking like a mastermind, they just fleeced the Kings. The biproduct of being able to take on salary whenever makes people call you for deals like this.

The Sixers may never get the superstar they covet, but they keep winning these individual trades.

Are Carl Landry and Jason Thompson on expiring contracts? If they are I'd like to see us use them to try to get Ty Lawson. I feel he's being highly underrated, he's still only 27 and I don't really see any other point guards we could come across that would be as good as him over the next couple years.

Yeah somebody needs to help me understand how Afflalo is being paid less than Shumpert and several other lower tier guys this summer.

I think he wanted a shorter deal to re-establish the kind of player he is after a disappointing last season. He will get bigger deal in 2 years, guess it was a gamble but we have seen this work before.

C'mon breh...a mastermind?

This was a damn salary dump . When stauskas is out the league, Thompson and Landry get bought out, the 1st rounder conveys to a 2017 2nd, and picks never get swapped because philly is still TANKING and will have a worse record than sac it will all be for nothing

Just shows you how cheeks philly is when people are praising them for picking up Carl landry

It cost them nothing though. If it doesnt work what did they lose out on? Cap they werent going to use? Its nothing but upside with this move.

It has equal chances of swinging either way, and Philly wont be tanking come 2018 at the latest.
