Ken Berger @KBergCBS
Agent Jeff Fried says Monta Ellis swayed by Pacers being "a playoff team with a winning culture." Also cites Indy's "welcoming community."

Tommy Beer @TommyBeer
With Afflalo at $8 million, Knicks still have cap space to offer DeAndre Jordan right near the max can make (salary starting at ~$19.8 MM)

Eric Pincus @EricPincus
Hibbert max is middle tier so should be room for full 15% if traded @BBallInsiders

David Aldridge @daldridgetnt
As @HowardBeck notes, getting a guy like David Lee, at this point, would make sense for the Knicks. Still a very good offensive player.

remember when free agents actually wanted to sign with he Lakers? Damn I thought I'd never see the day players just brush off the lakers.
They'll be back once Kobe's old *** retires
Nah, I heard FA's will be back when Lakers are winners again.

It has absolutely nothing to do with Kobe. This is what I heard, anyway.

Which won't happen until after his contract is up

The acquisition of Dion Waiters is what put them in the tax.
"The Thunder did not approach the luxury tax, ironically, until this lottery-bound season. The in-season trade that brought in Enes KanterKyle Singler, and D.J. Augustin  put the Oklahoma City Thunder payroll at just more than $80 million, according toHoopsHype  salary numbers.  That put them over the tax line, which rested at $78 million last season.

The Thunder also are already committed to $76 million in the upcoming season and that’s with Kanter and Singler both unsigned for next season at this point. Now the luxury line is tied to the cap, so it will increase next season, but it’s rumored to be around $81 million for the 2015-16 season."

Ramona Shelburne @ramonashelburne
If Lakers miss on their top three FA targets, they're more likely to pursue David Lee in a trade than revisit Boogie talks

rudy gobert @rudygobert27
Stop comparing players because they have the same height or wingspan... It's all about mentality.

Man I don't want Monta on our squad b

Does that shot chart take in to account he's playing alongside another guy with range of only 4 ft and no shooters?

Or the fact that a lot of those are straight post ups and those numbers are being compared to a ton of catch/finishes in the paint.

@notinbtnet: @forumbluegold but thats where dr. buss differed and shined. he knew to put smart people in charge and let them do their job.

@forumbluegold: But Dr. Buss put his kids in charge. No one seems to mention this. He gave them the titles they currently have. https://t.co/lw50A77GFR

Why not? He improves your team

He's a gunner man. Don't get me wrong he's a solid player but doesn't really fit our team b. just because you sign someone doesn't necessarily mean he's gonna help the squad b. Look at what Lance did to the Hornets last year. This PG TEAM BREH ION WANT HIM CHUCKIN UP BS.

**** it though. I believe in Larry I suppose.Welcome to the squad b *cues Monta shaking up gif*

 I remember like it was yesterday that yall were saying Jason Kidd had absolutely no idea what he's doing. Posting ya cute lil memes and such. Now folks acting like he's the second coming of Red Auerbach

Kidd had a rough start with Brooklyn. The Lawrence Frank situation, calling out veteran players, taking no responsibility for the slow start, ton of injuries. But as someone that watched that team all year, he legitimately did a GREAT job the last 50 games of the season. I was depressed when we lost him. Literally does everything you want in a coach. Thinks long term, develops young guys, plays to the teams strengths, makes sure everyone is full strength for the post season, makes adjustments when stuff isn't working, isn't stubborn, understands modern NBA offense/defense, etc. Outside of the top top top coaches - I'd take him over anyone.
Oklahoma City Thunder
The Thunder nearly traded their first-round pick in the last draft, no. 29, for Shumpert, and they’ve essentially made the same trade here for Waiters. The deal puts them nearly $2 million over the tax for now, but this may be a precursor to another move down the line. The Thunder don’t have enough minutes for all of their wing guys, and they’re staring hard at Reggie Jackson’s free agency.

David Aldridge @daldridgetnt
Love Knicks fans turning up their noses at David Lee, as if their squad didn't win 17 games last season. Y'all need to recalibrate.

Nate Duncan @NateDuncanNBA
4/$44 (w/ 4th yr player option!) for almost 30 y/o Monta Ellis is why you spend 4/$60 on almost 29 y/o DeMarre Carroll early on.
