Word is that D.Jordan told his homie that he was staying w/ Clips, he just wanted to make the FA rounds and be wined and dined.

My man DJ tried it

I don't know how y'all hating on this deal for the Heat, they had to take care of Wade for all the monetary sacrifices he's made (and helping Bron come to town). This was by far the best option available

Leaves them still totally flexible for summer 2016. win win for both parties

Not that it matters, but once he signs this one year deal, Wade now cannot be traded without his consent.

Adam Zagoria @AdamZagoria
From his 1-year, $20-million spot in Miami, Dwyane Wade can now watch LeBron and the Cavs dominate the East until he retires.

A one year deal does the Heat no harm at all

I wouldn't have been mad at 2 years 40 million like I said CLE could have offered to him instead of 40 mill to Shump

Granted, he opted out of a $16 million player option and is now making $20 million next year. There were far worse endings than this in regards to Wade/2015, so while this is not a secure contract for a player who definitely needs one, it's not the worst outcome.

But, if you're taking the chance on a one-year deal, why not go elsewhere imo? The market wasn't ripe for Wade, but that was from the mindset that some team, whether the Heat or somebody else, was going to be giving him a multi-year deal. We just saw a team sign up to pay Brook Lopez $20 million for the next three years... meaning I'd pay Dwyane Wade $20 million to play basketball next year.

Why leave the city you've played your whole career?

Because they're showing you a deal for one year. Most "lifers" have always had more security than that.

In statement, Wade's agent, Henry Thomas, calls deal "a win-win," referring to "flexibility next summer to sign an additional deal."

So I get that, but my loyalty to the Heat would have already dried up, yet once again he's doing them favors (even know we know it's largely due to the market).

Teams with still major cap space: DAL (30), LAL (22.4), NYK (19.4), ORL (16.2), PHI (15.7), UTH (9.4). Hard to project PHX, SAS and POR now.

Wade made an extra 4M by opting out, gonna ball out, and then dupe some team next year, or yeah. Retire.

 My man DJ tried it

Hope it's true. I'd call it high reward trolling. For sure seems like somethig DJ is capable of.

Location probably matters a lot to Wade. After spending all your career in a warm city place, you're only looking at a few destinations. Miami is a better situation for him than the California teams. Kings, nah. LA, nah. GS don't need him.

In Florida, there's Orlando but Miami is in better shape than Orlando, winning wise.
