Williams is a decent bench player. People give him a hard time because they compare him to his draft status. He's a guy who can get some buckets in short bursts.

Hibbert is going to the Clippers.

The Mavs are going to sign and trade Monta

The Clips are gonna sign and trade Deandre

The Pacers get to dump Hibbert.

Then we get to pull a sign and trade for Aminu for Wes.

Doing all this lets the Mavs operate as an above the cap team and still have the full MLE and BAE.

It also gives the Clips a non Perkins level Center and keeps them below the hard cap and gives them a massive TPE.

All we need now is to trade the 2018 and 2020 firsts 1 for Ty Lawson and we gucci or wait for Deron Williams to get bought out.
Hibbert and Stephenson back together.

why would the pacers join in? they could just keep hibbert and let him expire with them instead. moving him doesn't hurt or help them. especially considering they lost west, they'd be thin at PF/C. unless yall throw them a pick?

They didn't even want Hibbert to opt in.

They legit threw shade at him publicly hoping he would leave

No brainer for Orlando to match on Tobias... I was concerned the early word was they weren't interested in giving him that kind of money. I don't think they're in the place to let any kind of talent go, so I'm glad they kept him. They still need more help, but hopefully the young guys can look appealing enough so they can offer a big time FA an appealing destination next season.

Surprised Deandre went with the Mavs. I can only assume they sold him on the idea of being more involved offensively and being one of the "stars" of the team, but I wouldn't have left the Clippers.

Cleveland Cavaliers  — Kyrie Irving, PG, Duke: I'll go on record right here saying I don't like this pick. Irving is probably going to be a good point guard, but you don't draft somebody No. 1 because they'll be good. You draft them to seriously alter the franchise's fortunes, and Irving doesn't do that. You're taking somebody with conditioning issues and letting him learn from Baron Davis, not exactly ideal. Irving lacks elite athleticism or elite shooting, and who's he going to pass to on that roster? I don't want to bash him too much, because he's a quality player -- I'm just not sold on him going No. 1 overall. Derrick Williams should have been the pick here. -Eric Yearian

Minnesota Timberwolves  — Derrick Williams, SF/PF, Arizona: The Timberwolves spent most of the day sending out strong signals that they were strongly considering Enes Kanter with this No. 2 pick, but GM David Kahn continued his strategy of "asset collection" by taking Derrick Williams. Williams is arguably the most talented player in this draft, as his inside-outside game will prove to be a match-up nightmare. However, with Michael Beasley  and Anthony Randolph  already on the roster (not to mention Kevin Love), don't be surprised to see a trade. Williams is efficient, explosive, and gifted. He's one of the few prospects in this draft with All-Star potential. -Nick Prevenas

i remember seeing that now. mavs should be in good shape if those sign and trades do work. i wonder what the timeline looks like because the clips have been linked to Koufus too.

Dude say Kyrie wasn't an elite shooter though.

Kahn tenure in Minny looking very similar to Hinkie right now.

It just shows that sometimes draft experts don't know what they're talking about.
