I don't particularly care for Reggie, and I'm surely thankful he isn't in OKC anymore, but my dislike isn't going to prompt me to think he deserved a 4/43 contract that he turned down, I expected him to get what he got, or something similar, he expected to get what he got, we all (minus a few folks) knew it was coming, and can see how and or why.
I mean, Brandon Knight got 70 million. Jackson getting 80 million isn't that surprising

If it's a question of deserving, that's a cloudy one. If it's a question of whether or not they were going to get big deals, there should have been none
Precisely

i care about everyone in this thread
qft

this should be the mantra of the thread

that or ELE

ps. what should be our next poll?

There was no question reggie jackson was going to get a big deal when he was getting bumped for dion waiters? When he bombed as a starter in okc? When he was on the bench in 4th quarters for Spencer dinwiddie? When he was shooting 33% from the field?

I'm out yall. Good nite

Props to Reggie and Cory for getting paid. I thought Corey could be a good option after Parker leaves but im sure playing home meant a lot to him.

I thought Reggie was fine in Det. Maybe SVG can turn him and Drummond into what he had with Nelson amd Dwight. Has Det address who will play alongside Drummond? Off the top.of my head the starters look like Reggie-KCP-Johnson-?-Drummond

Monroe deal to me was fair for the fact they have dudes still on Rookie deals, you can give to him on the post and he brings a great presence in the paint on D with that team. Im not sure yet if Jabari will ever be good as a defender, not lockdown of course, but with guys like Bosh, Love, Nene/Gortat he could hold his own.

What would be the teams/deal (BESIDES THE KNICKS) that would give up to get Noel?

Yea, that gamble sounds like this....

Boss: You're going to work more hours and be in a leadership role

Employee: cool, I'm ready.

Boss: You go from $7 to $8

Employee: Nah, I think this role pays $15

Boss: You're right. How about $15 per hour then.

Employee: Sounds Great

What a gamble

Reggie was getting paid, the end.

Done.
He gambled, he won.
You win, too. Cool?

I gambled by challenging you, I lost.

I know I lost, Fontaine FTW

Everybody knew Reggie was getting paid, except those who don't watch ball

Just because someone offers you x and you take twice X in the end because you know it's the fair amount, doesn't mean you gambled.
More like you got the fair amount.

I can sell my truck and just because I pass a low baller and agree with a fair buyer, doesn't mean I gambled and won.

It means I got fair market value for my Truck.

In that respect, every player who doesn't sign an extension is gambling. Every player who signs a one year deal is gambling. These are givens bruh.

Reggie getting more money was a given, if he remained healthy.

We all know being healthy is a part of the game.
If this is the gamble you are now resorting to then, you win again.

Every time a player signs a new deal, I'm going to be like, "they gambled and won", and I will be right, right?

  should've just quietly taken the L

I told you Reggie was getting the max.

If I had to guess who repped that post it'd be someone who legit thought it was funny or someone who doesn't like Wooster.

Same thing goes with people reppinf posts of those Debating Reggie with me, people who dislike me are reppiing those posts.

Awesome probably reps every post that goes against what I say

Want to get a rep from awesome, snap on a-friend.

You might be one of the worst posters I've seen in awhile

Who knew Reggie Jackson of all people could cause such a heated discussion.

15 people came in and said Reggie Jackson gambled.

2 say no.

The latrell argument is a good one on someone gambling and losing.

Reggie is def not a max contract player. I'm not hating, let him get that money.

However, that's how a team ends up with a bad contract.

When I saw this morning that this thread had jumped like 7 pages since I last checked, I thought maybe some big news like a trade came out. Needless to say, I am now disappointed.

But with the CBA coming due and that TV money...

$20M might for 20 ppg 10 APG might not be such a bad contract, ya know?

Side note: what is this dude's wingspan?!

Arms look like he can scratch his knees standing straight up
