The Cavs dont have the cap space to entertain any of this though...

What would be the point of calling a travel at the catch the ball 50% of the time he catches it? That literally has zero impact on the play whatsoever.

it does impact the play though, it's a turnover. It could turn into a point swing for the other team. It would force dudes to stop shuffling their feet in hopes of stealing better positioning and instead work on their footwork. Bron is one of the worst offenders every. He habitually travels. Like, full steps.

Wade's dad trolling yesterday at church

Zen Master with the Lebron slander "I watch LeBron James, for example,” he said. “He might [travel] every other time he catches the basketball if he’s off the ball. He catches the ball, moves both his feet. You see it happen all the time. There’s no structure, there’s no discipline, there’s no ‘How do we play this game’ type of attitude. And it goes all the way through the game. To the point where now guys don’t screen—they push guys off with their hands.”

Phil knows :smokin
phil is just hating. The game has passed him up and he can't see greatness.

Trading the guy you picked @ #9 overall (a guy who was actually rated #1 by most before his injury) for Jrue Holiday was just too good to pass up.

:smh: :smh: :smh:

AD and Nerlens would have been a cheat code, dreams were crushed with that trade.

Not saying he's wrong.

Just saying.

The problem lies in this thinking. This makes it sound like rules should only be followed of they impact a play. But if a travel leads to a layup 5 seconds later... It's too late. No call will immediately impact a play. You need to play by all of the rules or none.
So many things in the NBA are officiated this way already shooting fouls in particular. We should be concerned about the late fouls after seeing if a basket falls or not than LeBron traveling off the catch 30 FT away from the basket before he even starts running a play.

Travels during a drive to the basket sure, but the ones where he catches it and shuffles his feet without going anywhere? Or like that backcourt inbound travel? Nah not those.

As much as you guys dont like intentional fouling for slowing the game down, nitpicking over travels would do the same thing. People travel off the inbound all the time, its just 90 FT from the basket so no one cares. This has been going on for like two decades now, and we're just now talking about it, because its become a part of the slander LeBron James campaign.

Rules are rules. Remember not long ago Steph hit a 3 from the corner to send the game to overtime but clearly got fouled. It should've sent him to the line and he woulda sealed the game without overtime but the ref said "I would've called it if he missed" that kinda stuff is ruining the game. These calls count.

People at your local rec aren't traveling on in bounds plays... Nba players get a pass cuz they're breaking rules outside of 20 feet of the basketbasket?b. Cmon b hold nba players to an NBA standard

Agree with this. I don't like ticky tack calls, realistically an official could blow the whistle every time down if they went strictly by the book. 3 seconds is a good example, I like how it's only called if guys are seriously camping because that's the spirit of the rule -- don't camp, it's a lame way to play.

What really needs to be cleaned up is a guy like chris paul shoving defenders with his off arm 20 times a game. That's a situation where the defender is doing his job the right way and his opponent still gains an advantage despite not being skilled enough to do his job and get separation

lol even if u werent caping for bron and this was your real argument a travel call takes two seconds and does not slow down the game like an intentional foul or review where everyone can see what happened.  other teams get the ball, play continues.  try again

It ain't slander if it's wholly true

no where IMO

If you feel like those kind of comments are suitable for the workplace you shouldn't be working let a lone in an industry fueled primarily by the blood sweat and tears of black men.

Unemployed for life due to this situation. Harsh penalty

All I'm saying is that there are much more important inconsistencies in the rules that need to be resolved that travels that happen 30-90 feet away from the basket when you know full well that its not like they had a reason to travel.

Is it ok that NBA players are spacing out like that? Nah, but we can get that handled once real abuse of the rules and subpar officiating is resolved.

Caping for Bron? I have no vested interest in what LeBron James does nor am I a fan of the Cavs or a devout fan of his.

I'm just not ready to have refs start going crazy off a guy taking a step off the inbound before he dribbles 90 feet away from the basket when we have better things to worry about.

You want them to

Refs aren't even looking for those things, they're probably taught not to. They have to watch for more blatant rule abuse. Its easy for us to see this stuff with TVs and have full view of whats transpiring on the court, but do you really think that a ref is watching players feet 90FT away from the basket when they have to run back down the court and look for other things?

Again, not saying its OK, but I understand why its not called.

a ref actually said this? i mean we say all the time through the course of watching a game that 'damn, you know he only called that weak spit because he missed'....but to actually come out and confirm it...bruh...just cuz i made the shot, son still fouled the dogs hit out of me. gimme my call.

That pic is three weeks old, Wade's dad was rooting for Lebby in the playoffs and Wade has been following the Cavs instagram for a few weeks now

I'm starting to see the smokescreen, I don't think Wade is leaving... he's got a lot more to lose than the Heat in this situation

Paul Pierce is opting out of his contract... WOW

I can feel what you said in reference to me. I just want ALL the inconsistencies cleaned up at the same time. The only call a foul if he misses, the travel is ok if they're a star, the carry is ok if its flashy enough etc etc. Either follow the rule, or get rid of the rule imo
