It's not okay to get rid of Kevin Martin after he traded for him one year earlier, shot 40% from three, and then *gets credit* for getting rid of him. Don't acquire him a year earlier and then watch him have one of his best years from three and rid yourself of him. How stupid can you get. Nah.

And if he would've kept him and he crumbled like he did after leaving Minny, then he would've gotten killed. Martin was always a stop gap for OKC.

They took advantage of things they control.

Somebody suggested OKC wait until 16-17' FA to sign a big name with that extra cap space saved by not signing Kanter, but OKC couldn't land and "Old reject like Pau"(who everybody said was washed before last year in Chi) when they had the Cap Space then for HIM

Why people keep ignoring what they've done OUTSIDE OF THE DRAFT? Every time someone comes in here speaking about how OKC has failed to put the right talent around their stars they have drafted, people come right back in here and talk about WHO THEY DRAFTED.

NO ONE IS SAYING THEY CANNOT DRAFT. goodness

They have given the other reasons why OKC's FO is good other than drafting, you are just not listening.

OKC put plenty of pieces around KD/Russ/Ibaka to win. Plenty.
When those complimentary pieces become starters and scorers because KD/Russ/Ibaka are hurt, they aren't complimentary pieces anymore, they are bum starters and go to guys.

Man, you got it. This argument is futile when not keeping Kevin Martin into as he heads into his 30s in grounds to criticize Presti. He was always meant to be a stop gap guy. But yea, they got in front of the criticism by cutting him loose. Good spin.

Reggie Jackson's minutes double. That's who filled the gap. They attempted with Lamb too, who some people felt good about at the time. He flashed as well. They combined for over 3000 minutes the next year.
