only if bron a jump shooter. I suspect tmac would've had a better chance with shaq than bron. bron doesnt move anywhere near like kobe did. bron would've been crashing into shaq every other play.

LeBron would have fed Shaq all day for nice/easy hoops. It would have been great to see.

Statisically Lebron and Kobe are comparable, in fact Lebron actually has better stats in most cases but lets just say Lebron stat pads or whatever,

The main argument hardcore Kobe fans use is the ring argument, Kobe was a strong force with Shaq on those Lakers team but lets not act like a player as great as Lebron couldnt have won 3 rings with Shaq

Shaq was more important to those teams than Kobe, although it was close....Kobe has 2 rings as the most important guy on the team, the same as Lebron

No it just not 2013 anymore

Lebron has basically passed Kobe's accomplishments..I enjoy Kobe more but I also try to be realistic.

It's not about stats. How do they fit together? Lebron in his 4th, 5th, and 6th years is an entirely different player than he is today. Kobe was the best perimeter player in the league,

Bron in his 10th, 11th, and 12th seasons still has players who have been dominant post scorers camping out at the 3 point line and you're just going to thrust him into the lineup with the most dominant guy down low ever when his jumper was nowhere near as developed and everything was driving to the hole and think you're still getting 3 rings nah. Outside of 2001, Lakers could have easily not even made the Finals. This isn't 2K plug and play. Shaq and Bean were the perfect inside outside combo.

Was Lebron as good of a shooter as Kobe? No

But Lebron wasn't a bad shooter either

But he also wouldn't have taken dumb shots outside of the flow of the Triangle like Kobe routinely did. He also display elite court vision at that age something Kobe never did. At the end of the day, when you factor in the pros and cons it's a draw

Yes, but don‘t forget the role players. They did so much on a consistent basis. In some ways, you could say they found the right formula.

Btw, Malone was still doing it, but not Payton. I have no idea who really took part in deciding who should stay, or go, but LA found the perfect players in the right spots durinf that run.

Shaq was batman and Kobe was robin during those years. Bur I am glad they both won in the latter parts of their career.

Horry throwing up dat BS shot against Webber though. lol Ignited it.

Robin in 2000 although I do remember a pretty significant Game 4 in the Finals.

LeBron & Shaq absolutely would have worked so long as the franchise was committed to filling the roster out.

Those of you saying it has to be a certain way, picture yourself in 1990 saying, "Scottie & Mike are great, but it won't work. Needs to be inside out. They need a center."

Not really, no, they don't.

When you have 2 of the all time greatest at their position, a healthy franchise is what is needed for that to work.

Your opinion is null they could replace Kobe with CP1708 and you still think they'd win 3.

Even Mike and Scottie didn't get in each other's way because MJ was so beastly on the block, there are schematic issues with young Bron and prime Shaq that are glaringly apparent. But hey put Kidd, Ray Allen, Eddie Jones, Moochie Norris in and they don't skip a beat. I mean all those guys were putting up 26, 6, 5 in the playoffs and guarding the other teams best perimeter player most nights right SithLord?

Agreed.

Remember them saying Bron and Wade wouldn't work? They did. When you have great players playing together, they figure it out.

Shaq would not have had to adjust to Bron, Bron would have had to adjust to Shaq because Prime Shaq is a better player than prime lebron.

You put any great wing with Shaq, and the result would be the same. Let's remember, a 24 yr old Dwyane Wade won with Shaq still averaging 20 & 10. Wade might have a worse jumper than Bron lol.

So if you take the 4 games he actually played that are not statistical anomalies. He averaged 19 PPG in 4 full games.

We can go to 2011 Prime LeBron averaging only 17.8ppg and afraid to post up J.J. Barrea.

Kobe was Robin in that series, but he was needed to be a difference maker. Hell even Jalen said that's why he put his foot in there to sprain Kobe's ankle. Now if you go throughout those playoffs, he was just as important.

Peak Kobe and Peak Shaq would have won 75 games.

Wade and Bron didnt click right away and really get rolling until admittedly Wade said I'm taking a back seat. Even so it's easier for two perimeter players to get their touches and looks because they can always get the ball themselves.

Shaq was complaining about not getting the ball enough when he was averaging 30 a game, now would Lebron's personality have been more conducive to Shaq's, of course. But that doesn't negate the fact that early Lebron's game wasn't nearly as polished and he would have likely head difficulties meshing with bull headed prime Shaq. But hey it's always imagine worth this guy instead of actually looking at what happened.
