It's not his fault the East has sucked his entire career. In all the seasons LeBron has made the playoffs, only 18 (EIGHTEEN) non-LeBron Eastern Conference teams have cracked 50 wins. I'm not including the lockout season, but let's just say if you do the math, the trend still holds true. Meanwhile, in that same span, 54 (FIFTY-FOUR) Western Conference teams have cracked 50 wins. And that includes two seasons where all eight seeds had 50+ wins. There have been THREE seasons where the East literally had two 50-win teams (including LeBron's team). That's beyond pathetic.
During Shaq and Kobe's Finals runs, there were at least five 50-win teams, and as many as seven (including the Lakers). They won their titles against the Eastern Conference teams that managed to suck the least.
