Hey Mavs fans. How does a trade of Dirk for Nene sound? Your in the tank anyway. Nene can help you lose.

Would rather lose the draft pick than to see nene in Dallas

That's what 326k can get you in Miami? Damn, no wonder people love to retire in Florida.

My home I grew up in worth over twice that much and it's a crap box in comparison

Mavs should tank, they have no chance at anything close to contending, would struggle even for the 8th seed and their draft pick is top 7 protected.

Cuban picking up DWill like that just says they are going to be hard headed again this season.

i'd like to know as well. dallas could very plausibly sneak that 8th seed.
This. A Nene for Dirk trade is just laughable...

Dirk is Dallas he fills seats every night.

If things don't go right I could see Parsons/D-WIll/ Harris traded at the deadline IF anything

I'm not against Dallas sneaking in the playoffs, but there is a very realistic shot at them missing it this year as well. Whenever you're a veteran team that's on the bubble of barely squeaking in the playoffs prior to the season starting (considering where they are with that protected pick), it may be in their best interest to tank. If anything, it helps them next summer if they decide to trade the pick to acquire an additional asset to put with whoever they want to sign.

This probably Dirk's last year.

You don't put him on a crap team.

And you use this year to give the pick away if you are going to tank.

At worst this team is a 35 win team and the summer ain't over.

The Rondo trade didn't workout but I trust them to do something before the season starts.

This roster with Matthews missing the first month or month in a half in the West :x

Does Dirk really retire if Cuban can work some magic next offseason? I think he retires if he falls short of bringing in another star player. I think that's how Dirk decides on retiring or not. Its just hard to see him basing his retirement off this upcoming season given the circumstances and he could probably sign a 1 year deal next offseason and just for names sake play with Durant in Dallas. Would he really retire if Dallas brought in KD?

Dallas chances of making the playoffs next year with him is laughable. Out of respect for Dirk they should let him go. Doesn't have to be DC. That's just the Wizards fan in me tryna improve my team.

You don't get my point.

He sells tickets.. no one wants to come see a slow Brazilian who is inept at basketball night after night. The NBA is a business...

What's Dirk's contract situation? Any chance he plays a couple years on a contender when his contract is up? 20 minutes off the bench [emoji]128064[/emoji]

I get your point. The trade doesn't have to be fair or help Dallas in anyway. I don't care about the Mavs. I want what's best for my team and only my team.

Selling tickets is cool but I'd rather trade him and get better for the future. Your playing how much money can we make GM. I'm playing make my team better GM. Even if that means trading Dirk.

Trading Dirk for nene doesn't make the Mavs better. You can trot Dirk out for a quarter and get more out of him than a full game of nene.

The Dallas Mavericks almost made the playoffs starting OJ Mayo, Mike James, and Elton Brand's corpse.

To say its laughable we can't make it this year is laughable

Justin Anderson is going to have Wes Matthews not getting playing time til he's 100% healthy.

For the life of me I can figure out why yall think this is the final roster.
