KD and Russel are great leaders in their own ways.
Russ is clearly the emotional leader while KD sees the vision and bigger picture. They compliment each other quite well in this regard.

Lots of players work out in LA in the Summer every year. I think a bunch of Rockets did it as a group last year. It's nothing new. I guess having a mini-camp is a different twist on it, but the location itself isn't anything to read into.

Since we're on the subject, I'm curious. Why do so many NBA players post up in LA in the offseason as opposed to MIA or somewhere else? Is it the Drew or something else?

Not the Drew per se, but I think having NBA-level competition readily available to play against is one of the reasons players hang here in the Summer. Even before the Drew, the Summer pick-up games at UCLA were legendary for having NBA dudes going at eachother. That, plus the availability of great facilities, great weather and there you go.
