They're proven sure, but they're nothing better than above average to good players. While we don't know how good #2 and Randle can become. I much rather gamble on the latter's upside than knowing the ceiling for the former which isn't anything special. Plus I'll be taking back a bunch of salary in the former deal. If they can get Randle #2 and Clarkson while keeping their pick, it's the best trade available.
