That 08 gold medal game thread was crazy. We had Kobe and Lebron haters joining together chanting USA. Crappy FIBA refs trying to foul Bron and Kobe out in the first quarter. Tay and Wade stemming the tide in the first half when Kobe and Lebron were on the bench. Navarro hitting crazy shot after crazy shot. Bosh and Bizzaro getting torched on pick and rolls. Spain's bench crying for travel calls after every US fast break dunk. Team USA getting hit with illegal screens. Bruh, Olympic games are... I'm gonna start crying here... they're beautiful. They play is so much different than what we see. And I'm not slamming the NBA, because as you know, I love it. Did you know the ball is live if it's touching the rim in international play? Say you throw up a floater that hits the rim and starts circling around. I can smack it off.
Things like that, and the fact that the 3 refs are most likely from 3 different countries and don't even speak English (so all that whining and carrying on from the likes of Wade and Kobe and Bron is a waste of time, and almost doesn't exist), and the unselfish extra passes from everyone...

The speed of Puerto Rico and Brazil and the Dominican.
Watching Argentina flop all over the place and get no calls. (j/k, Argentinean fans. You guys always bring a good squad. I'm just out here telling jokes, man. Not srs.

Yeah man, it's legitimately the best team basketball you'll ever see. Can't say enough about Melo and LeBron sticking with the program since age 18 along with what Coach K has done leading the ship. They put pride back on the line and amazing ball was the result. It just keeps getting better with guys like Harden, Curry, and AD entering their primes at an MVP level. And you wouldn't believe the amount of times that Melo played like the best player on the court.
