grizzlies the same damn team every year. good enough to compete and make the playoffs but aint good enough to make any real noise.

the funny thing is...i guarantee you the teams making all these additions will end up being in the "same damn" place next season just like us as well. its all on paper until the games are played and a playoff series starts. i understand the grizz could improve in some areas, but all of those teams still have some sort of weakness and some of these teams may end up out in the 1st round too. then, adding all of those "pieces" will end up looking like what?
its the same thing every year. no shot at other western conference teams, but teams have been adding things for the last 3-4 years and been getting the same exact result with the exception of 2-3 teams. when its all said and done, all of those teams that made moves are not making it to the finals or even winning it. so, what point are you trying to make when saying "good enough to compete and make the playoffs but aint good enough to make any real noise. ". because that goes for 28 other teams in the nba every single year.
i can see why someone may put the spurs, healthy thunder and warriors over the grizz right now. but, no other team outside of those squads in the west should be put in a different tier. houston, lac and memphis are all in that same tier. you really can't tell who is better than the other because either team can very well beat hte other in a series.

that's a fair opinion. i do think we can make a few changes to bolster our offense, but its still a winning formula that has kept us right in the same boat with most of the other elite teams in the league. it sucks right now because there's not really much else we can do until next off-season when some of these contracts are off the books and the cap increases. at that point, i think we will finally add a player that can possibly be a difference maker.
