I was thinking about that bird/bron comparison earlier. It's probably misleading because I remember lebron beasting in the second half of the season

NBA prolly needs the Lakers on national TV. There's other better teams but they don't have Kobe. And Kobe is retiring soon, so get it while you can

i see the NBA still has the same guys deciding on what games go on national TV.

Breakdown of the national (ESPN, ABC, TNT) TV schedule:

Warriors, Cavs 25 games each

Clippers, Thunder 24 each

Bulls 23

Spurs 21

Lakers 19

The amount of prime time games have increased from the MJ Wiz yrs I believe.

also - dont care how many Laker games are slated in August. All about Flex schedule:

This season will also likely see an increase in flex scheduling for all networks, ensuring better match-ups. Last year ESPN flexed out of a number of its games (especially ones involving the Knicks), but ABC and TNT were less able to do so as they generally had more exclusive Sunday and Thursday night windows with fewer simultaneous games to flex into. At a glance, it certainly looks like there are more Thursdays with six games on the schedule as opposed to three. Increasing the number of Thursday night games is part of the way the league was able to reduce back-to-backs and four-games-in-five-nights scenarios as well.

Glad the nba added games on thursday night, some of those matchups were plan boring. So hopefully they wiil use the flex option there. Seeing portland vs whoever for a late game is always terrible.

Nba got the memo and took the knicks off christmas day

Either the coach from memphis complaining, or hollinger gave the scheduling committee an analytics report for more national televised games

Bron only goes to Atlanta once this year and it is in April, when it is probably a meaningless game. Thought they would at least play 4 times this year.

Surprised espn has all the christmas day games -- usually tnt has the late games on christmas day dont they?

Also like how they reduced the 4 games in 5 nights. Hopefully that limits tnt and fans paying there hard earned money from being Popoviched when going to or watching a game

It's still funny to laugh at a surefire lottery team on TV that much. Games that people are gonna cut off.
