Kobe Bryant has folded up like a cheap chair multiple times in big spots in his career.

Cutthroat my ***.

Folded how? Like Duncan missing a easy layup in the Finals? Harden no showing in the Finals? Bron vs the Mavs? I can point out many times players came up short. Kobe included.

I also remember young Kobe destroying Duncan's Spurs. Winning 2 titles and going to 3 total without Shaq. We could do this all day going back and forth on the highs and lows of Kobes career.

Russ with the mamba blood. Dudes soft they rather go play with lebron and learn how to dance at halftime and do cool handshakes then to get chewed out. Race for 8th shall be interesting

Kobe's 2004 NBA Finals is worst than anything you just listed yet for some reason you think he is way above them in killer instinct.

Don't make sense.

So @The Collector is @BowB4Me under a new screen name?

Confirmed ha ha ha

So, you think that yelling at teammates will make them play harder and better? You know, the Jordan comparison in order to justify Kobe's behaviors may be warranted to some, but you do realize that there were other players in the NBA that have won championships, and they did not behave in that fashion toward their teammates in which Kobe Bryant has.

Bill Russell's teams share eleven rings, and he was the alpha of his teams. You did not hear of him suddenly showing up to practice, then calling his teammates soft.

In fact, if Kobe were to even play on a team like the 90's Knicks, he may have gotten his butt handed to him due to his mouth.

Wait, I forgot about Chris Childs.

Madison Square Garden hot dogs are terrible.

Yelling might not make a difference but what do people expect? I've been saying D Howard's a bum. No passion or drive to win. Lost this year and proclaimed he was still a winner. The footage of the team goofing off until Kobe comes to practice. I'd snap on them too.

MJ can punch Kerr and it's seen as motivation, Kobe yells at someone and he's the problem. Fans have gotten soft right along with the league.

Your argument pro Kobe's behavior is quite strange. You cannot justify his actions by suggesting that someone else got away with it, and that should make it okay. If there were not other teams and players who have led without such examples, then you'd have a point. But Kobe did not invent basketball, nor did Jordan, but there have always been winners along the way.

Agreed, and do not forget that cut throat Suns game.

The dude retires, the NBA isn't going to miss a step, and other players will continue to rise and shine.

Dude your making my point for me. Teams win in all kinds of ways. Kobes way got him 5 titles. So what's the issue? I like the mentality Kobe plays the game with. I don't think it's a bad thing because he's had success doing it.

I don't get what your point is anymore or what I said you take issue with. If you think me saying Kobes killer instinct is like MJ implys other don't have it is wrong. It's the way he goes about it. Duncan is a quiet killer. MJ, Kobe and Russ have a on court presence that's different then the rest IMO.

Look, I took issue with that NBA alpha comment you made, lol. I think we all know, at least we should know, that the ultimate alpha is someone everyone will want to play with. If Kobe is Westbrook's model for success, then he is in for a major fail, especially without Phil Jackson as your coach.
Just like with Jordan.
When did he quit against the Suns?

Alpha in mentality. Duncan taking a backseat is a good thing for the team but not a alpha mentality. Kobe no matter who he plays with believes he's the best and can get it done. Russ shares that type of attitude from a distance. That's Alpha mentality bruh.

That's all I meant. I didn't mean it was good thing or bad thing. It is what it is.

I guess our disagreement lies in what we consider an alpha. Westbrook would be wise to seek other examples, influences and complimentary comparisons.

Kobe Bryant playing with more talent than any other player to enter the league since Magic Johnson as big of a reason for his 5 titles as any mentality.

Kobe Bryant lost an NBA FInals with a teammate average 27 and 14 on damn near 60% from the field.

You find me another all time great that lost a playoff series yet alone an NBA Finals with a teammate putting up numbers like that.

Alpha though
