George Karl lost with the home court actually 4 times (2006 they didn't have the homecourt)

as a 1 in the first round of the 1994

as a 4th in the 1995 first round

as a 4 in the 2010 first round

as a 3 in the 2013 first round, they had lost their co leading scorer Danilo Gallinari before the playoffs

To put that in perspective, Pat Riley and Gregg Popovich have lost in the first round 3 times with the home court

Even the great Phil Jackson who has never coached one NBA season without a 1st team All-NBA player has blown a 3-1 series lead

Im not saying George Karl is on those guys level but hes not some absolutely horrible NBA coach but trading Demarcus Cousins would be dumb

I can't believe George thought he was slick enough to turn Boogie's teammates against him.

I repeat, DJ and Jamal for Boogie. Do it, Doc, Vivek and George.

Can't wait for Rck and Nelson to join team Clippers.

Just saw Kenneth Faried in front of me in line at Target in West LA lol

FARIED TO CALIFORNIA CONFIRMED.

Just kidding.

Oh, is that all? I didn't know that losing ONLY 5 times, in round 1, as a 1 seed, 2 seed, 3 seed, and 4 seed, is cause for some sort of praise. I do apologize for leaving that little fact out.

Like I said, he spreads his suck around.

He's pushed out GP, Ray, Melo, Iggy, and now potentially Cousins, so he can play "his way". Uh, coach, you goin on 25 years of coaching, without getting passed round 1 but 2-3 times, maybe, Iono, SWITCH YOUR STUPID *** TACTICS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Where and when did George Karl push out GP? Sure, they butted heads early on in Seattle. Everyone knows that. But, by the end of Karl's time there, they were fine. GP's problems in Seattle focused on the front office. First with the Kemp/McIlvaine debacle that forced the team to trade Kemp, then, after the team was sold, GP hated Howard Schultz so much that he forced the trade to Milwaukee. I mean, if Payton hated Karl that much, he wouldn't have been okay with going to Milwaukee to play for him again lol.

Going in on GK though, I'm praying for you.

Why? Because he's a cancer survivor? That should not make one immune from deserved slander. Kudos from him for getting through that, but it doesn't mean he can't act like a **** afterward. Hell, my wife is a cancer survivor (and heart transplant recipient), but I still call her out when she does dumb **** and she has no problem with it.

Oh no, had nothing to do with his Cancer, I was just taking up for my man.

If that's true, then I will retract GP from that list. My bad.

I'll assume you're just talking about the first round. Because the Sonics had home court in the second round against the Lakers in 1998, and got worked, 4-1. They had identical records (61-21), but Seattle had home court.

Yeah, GP and Karl are on record as talking about how they didn't get along initially. It took a couple years to work those kinks out, and it's one reason they failed so spectacularly in the 1994 playoffs (that, and Ricky Pierce and GP didn't get along and almost pulled guns on each other).
